kevfball63 - what do you wanna hear? that everything is ok and that we are all happy with things...

Ive said it before, I love THFC, the football CLUB, doesnt mean i have to love the current 11 or the manager.....

Kev, you seem to believe we can do what we like and we wont go down, cos we're rebuilding.....

      i hate that attitude

i was born in tottenham, as was my dad, my granddad... i went to every game as a kid, and still get to many as an adult living overseas.

      I hate your attitude.

i love it when im overseas and i meet someone who has decided to support my spurs instead of manoo etc.... and if they wanna come here and talk about spurs, god bless em. if they cant afford a match ticket, who cares.

Kev, your attitude here stinks. make your point without having a go at people. just keep it to the football...... and calm down we are all spurs here,

"Armchair fans" is very intresting definition But mate there are lots of people on this website from different countries we physically and financially can't afford to visit White Hart Lane And it doesn't mean that we do not know how bitter defeat is.

Im sick and effing tired of fans not having the nuts to criticise their team when its plainly obvious the squad we have is not good enough but also do not give 100% to the cause that is FACT!

Do you realise Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club had won just a ridiculous 37 point in the whole of 2008, that speaks volumes about what we currently have and that is players who arent good enough for the top four sides so come to Spurs to drain our massive wages without putting the effort in, Jenas has to be one of the worst vice captains to play in a Spurs shirt ever I find it laughable Inter Milan would entertain him.

Go ahead and call me Negative I couldnt give a flying ****, ive watched Spurs since 87 when we lost to Cov and weve flattered to decieve consistantly but this current over hyped squad has to be the most depressing bunch ive seen to date.

You should all listen to Graham Roberts a true die hard yid that would give absolutely everything for this great club I love as he did when he was playing at the Lane. He tells it exactly how it is 'big eagoed, over paid, non performers infesting the squad'

Im 100% behind the team when they play but unfortunetly the players are NOT giving everything, Harry has all but admitted this with a piece released in The Mail where he slates a few of the so called stars in the side.

I would follow Spurs whatever league they fall into but FFS what is happening to this great club.

      AGREE 100%

I will tell you a story. I follow the Geelong Football Club in the AFL.

At the end of 2006, the supporters had had enough. Our last premiership was in 1963. There was 25 years of nothing, until we made BUT LOST the 1989, 1992, 1994 and 1995 Grand Finals. Nothing happened for a few years till this bunch of young kids looked the goods in 2004 and 2005 when defied the odds and made the finals. In 2006, we won our first two games by over 100 points. Then, 6 months of mediocre half hearted performances followed. Once again, 3 generations of Geelong supporters were about th throw in the towel as a young talented list did not reach its potential.

We were the laughing stock of the competition at the end of 2006, and 2007 started very average where heads were going to roll. Rumours had it that if we did not win our Round 7 match, the coach would be sacked. Radio and newspapers were flooded with fans raging about the piss poor performances. We won by nearly 200 points, and went on a 15 match winning streak, Our boys reached their potential and ran away to win the Grand Final by 119 points. 44 years of mediocrity had been accepted, but the fans had enough. The players responded with one of the most dominating years in AFL history.

There is a difference between supporting the club no matter what (which is what we had done) and having enough and stating it. Come on YIDS, we deserve better. Dont accept this relegation crap. Don't say 'it will all be ok.' Make some noise.

off topic a little, i feel a little harshly done by here. realistically i'm never going to be able to get to london; let alone the lane. which sure enough makes me an 'armchair fan'.
how can you measure my commitment to the club? thats just not fair mate.
anyway; you've posted a lot of great stuff since you've been here kev. and the reason we're all here is to see others points of view. and if someone is angry with the current crop of players, here is the place to voice that.
it seems that there is a negativity post every couple of days here.
OF COURSE THERE'S NEGATIVITY!! WE'RE PLAYING LIKE CRAP!!!

and spurs2rise... no more cats talk.. it's either spurs or carlton here mate.

I share opinions with you both, but this particular quote was not needed.

You can vent your spleen with the best of 'em, and I have no issue with that. Making it personal should not be necessary.

Incredibly, this is the first season I've seen rucks break out between Spurs fans home and away. No coincidence that it happens to be at a time when were are crap. Shouldn't come as a surprise, then, that the same happens on the forum.

Yes Kev, please give it a rest with your "armchair" rubbish, its a bit dull. You have to wake up and realise we're in the crap. When I look at the games coming up I no longer think we'll easily win any of them. Worrying times.

Mate don't feel to harshly treated, it is just one mans opinion. You get up at silly hours of the day to watch Spurs, you come on here to share your views with the rest of us and given the chance I am sure you would be on the next flight here to see Spurs play whoever. I am proud of the fact that there are people from every corner of the world on here as should we all be.

Look , there's no need for everything to get sh!tty , if we dont agree with each other . But what i was trying to point out , and what you failed to see is that the revenue that we acrued from the cups last season , is the reason we have more spending power now. What you see is a table that you want to see our team in the top half of and in the top four if possible . Now subtract all the revenue that we made in the cup runs , and we are running over budget . Its only mathematics , the more you have the more you can spend . I know were not too big to go down , but were certainly not good enough on recent form to even think about top 4 . I wasn't trying to ram it down peoples throats that they dont go to the games , i was trying to point out that its supporters money that pays the wages . Therefore i am entitled to my opinion . When we are at the home games , we meet pre - match to discuss the starting 11 , we meet in the bar to discuss the first half , and we meet back in the pub after the game . So much is said , but unless yo can actually be part of the main set up its only speculation . The same as here . If i offended people with the armchair quote , it wasn't meant to say that if you dont go , then your not entitled to your say . It was meant in the way of saying try sitting in a negative car all the way home after a defeat . Especially at away games . Now if we win the journey seems to take 10 minutes , but if we lose it feels like 10 days .
Anyways like i said sorry for the armchair fan quote . But its obvious the players dont read these discussions , or they would get their finger out and earn their wages .

I live in Australia and only have one Spurs friend. We call each other up at 1am to talk about what we think the team will be, and I stay up till 4am to watch games. Just because I am not at the game doesnt mean I hurt when we put in insipid performances.

You have time to cool down after a loss. I have 3 hours to get sleep before going to work!

Kev, I go to games also and hear what you say, but it don't mean that the games I can't make don't feel any worse when we lose. It's good that you have apologised for the 'armchair fan' comment, as it is because we have such support from all over the world that makes us a big club. I'm sure your comment was made from frustration and the fact that you were, like the rest of us, fed up with how things are going.
