Thread: Gomes back to PSV?

Gomes is a much more confident keeper now. Like i've always said, he will end up being a Spurs legend. He's going no-where.

I hope he stays hes turned it round IMO and as PLM says its now down to our strikers to pick up their game - Pav is next to effin useless and Bent still doesnt seem capable of scoring week in week out - infact if he had one brain cell it would be mighty lonely.

A bid on Gomes has been declined by Mr Redknap. Well done, I must say. The inneffectivity of PSV in managing there (Ex)Footbalplayers has taken huge proportions.

To be quite honest, I've always knew Gomes would be a class act goallie, even though he, in the beginning had some difficulties adjusting. These difficulties were the same when he started at PSV.

Don't understand me wrong, I wish Gomes the utmost best in his carreer, and I do hope that THS will win a prize this year or the coming. I just think it is F*cked up that we as fans, didn't even had a decent goodbye from Gomes. Truth must be told that he is still a legend in Eindhoven. And I do think that when PSV had effectivly tried to recover Gomes when he wasn't playing well, it could have happened. But It's to late, Gomes has proven himself now, and is getting better by the game.

Well, my last reply on the matter will be that I hope all you THS fans will treat Gomes as the kind hero he is. Gomes is the type of player who will always thank the audiance, will always have time to autographe and will always fight for his fans. Cause he's not playing for Tottenham. He's playing for the Fans of Tottenham. You will notice or have noticed, that when you stand back him, he will be unbeatable.

The best of luck Gomes, there's always a place for you in Eindhoven.

Yep. He sure does.

Yes and still gets a big cheer with every jump. He is on his way to becoming a massive favourite with the fans. As Harry says, he has shown great character to get through his difficult start.

He has probably been our most valuable player, and one of the few who seems really committed to winning. I'm not surprised he's a crowd favorite- he has played injured, didn't make any excuses for his earlier howlers, and has made some spectacular saves to keep us in some games, notably ManU. I really like this guy, and hope he is at Spurs for a long time

Most goalies would have given up . I really like Gomes , he knows if he can prove it here he will be made for life . After he made those mistakes he was saying c'mon guys we can beat these . Thats not the words of a loser .

Again new rumours about a possible return to PSV saying Gomes can leave as soon as a new goalie is bought to be brought to London. The Daily Telegraph says Redknapp wants to use Césars' transfer as a good reason to buy a new goalkeeper. Possible new goalies are Shay Given, Steve Harper and Carlos Kameni.

I'm still wondering what is true and what not about these articles, they all seem to say pretty much the same.

I don't really care how Gomes looked. I know what he can do. He won us a few titles and he can do good over there too. I wish him the best as long as he's in London with you. Even though I want nothing more than to see him back in Eindhoven, we all know he's better than what we have to offer him at the moment so I hope he'll be the goalie and the character and legend he was and still is over here.

You can have Isaksson though haha!
