Thread: Do Spurs sign Arshavin or stay put?

Lesson lads, I think we're missing a big thing here. We can't spend more time "bedding" players into the Pre League. It was only a few months ago we had a list of new players, a new manager (Ramos) and they were almost killing our club whilst they went through their learning curve.

It takes a long time to get on with the Prem League. Whoever we buy, what positions Harry chooses to upgrade I hope he goes with lads that know the prem already. We have enough newbies already, can't do with anymore.

I still think we need to STEEL in the spine. I want us to go with a stong ball winner for the midfield and a new keeper.

No more flare we have flare. We need people that can stop the other team from playing and free up our talent.

We will need another Striker for when Campbell leaves us, and Arshavin can also play as left winger, as basskadet has already explained. If you check out his main YouTube video you will see him score some quality goals from that position. (I'm not one to go by YouTube videos but you can't deny the quality of the goals that he can score)

Pav said he wanted to see Arshavin in Tottenham. It would be great for russian national team.

All the players we have been linked lately with are players who aren't used to the premier league and if we do get in some of these players we certainly will have an immediate effect.

It seems Real is not linked with Arshavin any more since they have desided to sign Huntelaar. It's good

and here is what he said

1st priority should be holding midfielder- period.
2nd priority should be depth at striker- we know Bent and Pava can score, so I cant see paying what Zenit will want- plenty of good strikers in the Premiership who will probably be available in the window- Zaki, Heskey, even Defoe, etc maybe not Arshavin's quality, but not his price, either
3rd priority- proven keeper to back up/bail out Gomes- Hahneman might be available from Reading, for example

I heared Rednapp said Tottenham woudn't sign any players in January. So stop thinking about buying Arshavin((( Let him go to Fiorentina.

Honestly I think it would be great if Arshavin was signed, the only problem is Zenit's asking price. I mean, he's good, but, considering what Zenit wanted at some points over the summer transfer, some things are just plain exaggeration. -_-

If Arshavin is available at a reasonable price, I would think he would make a great addition to Spurs. His strongest points are his speed and acceleration. I've seen a couple of matches from EURO 2008 I downloaded yesterday, and he works incredibely well with Pavlyuchenko. o_o

I definitely hope we can sign him. ^_^

Mate if Harry sees any interst in him all he has to do is lift the phone and ring Levy to get the sufficient funds. By the rate of Zenits asking price he won't be going anymore except Tottenham, now wise up!

Yeah why not. Hes a world class striker and we all know how well he works with Pav.
