Possibly another good idea. A cup to find the ultimate UK club. The winners of the English, Scotish, Welsh and Irish leagues being the participants. No need to loose a Uefa place because they would have qualified for the Champions League. All the clubs would turn it on for these games (like the smaller clubs in the FA Cup). We used to have the Home International Matches which were great games untill the Jocks dug up Wembley.

Then your gonna have to let the Taffies in too!!!

I think it would be cool but would they let us in their competitions? Nah ...........they hate us and our teams with a passion.

I'd welcome more teams and more preliminary rounds as long as there was a bigger prize at the end of it.

Think, it could be rotated between Hampden park, Millenium stadium and Wembly!!! Would be kinda cool.

Would love to see Glentoran vs Spurs..

Glentoran - 1st British team to win a European trophy
Spurs - 1st English team to win a European trophy

      TASTY!

Sorry mate, the Vienna Cup does not count as a European trophy!

I had to look that up. Just out of interest.

On the point of a UEFA cup spot going to a team outside of England, to prevent that happening English teams would need to make sure they win it. Personally I think that only Rangers or Celtic, outside of England, would be strong enough to win it and they would qualify through the league anyway. But, if say Aberdeen or whoever did put in a decent run and won it then good luck to them, they would deserve that UEFA cup place.
