My mate was at the game and he told me that the section he was in were singing the racist chant's he reckon's it was 100+, he has no reason to lie about it and has never been found to be telling porky pie's before so I take his word as gospel.
I wasnt at the game but from what i hear was being sung it wasnt racist. That still isnt an excuse but he does deserve a lot of abuse. Racism and homophobic abuse is unexcusable but anything else is fair game imo. The way he left us was disgusting and lower then low. BTW there wouldnt be a big deal out of this if it wasnt on TV. We have sang these songs for years.
they need to get over it and move on i think!
I didn't know there were any racist implications with the chants, on Sky the chants could be heard fairly clearly for and it didn't seem any more than any other player gets from time to time. But if it was racist then I agree its unacceptable and we will get some punishment doled out.
We can't stop here, this is bat country!
Mind you, Harry said after the game that they had no intention of complaining to the FAb about it - seems the media have had a helping hand on keeping this one going.
