mate you have got some front !!!
liverpool have been under achieving for years ? until you won the champions league that was more to do with luck than anything else do you believe for one second that liverpool will win anything this season ?
indeed the gap between you guys and man ure and chelskea is only increasing .
we are all commenting on arsenal looking like the team to fall from glory this season i believe liverpool wont be to far behind them .
there is nothing new about your team same old mediocre liverpool the days of you guys being a great squad are over , your squad revolves around one man stevie g .
i predict you guys having a washout this season
and the season after !!!
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and foremost about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

May I ask why you say the gap between us and United will 'only get bigger' when we have decreased it by ten points this year and we strengthen while they fuss about Ronaldo, who has had their attention all Summer, to then declare he is staying, leaving them just a few weeks to get their signings? Nobody except you lot really expect us or Arsenal to drop out, we;re too strong. We're there to stay. The quality shines through at the end of the day, it's what happened last year. Villa and the Bitters couldn't do that last sprint, we could, why? Because we are meant to be in that top four spot, it's what makes us.
And CL lucky? What's that make your CC? :dontknow:
Firstly the so called Big 4 should be the the Big 3 as Chelsea, Manu and the Arse have all won the EPL since it started and have been the 3 most consistent teams in the EPL
Liverpool are only included in that bracket because of their cup glorys in the last 10 years, and their history
I would guarantee if the EPL finished every year with the top 5 as
Manu
Chelski
Arse
Another prem team
Liverpool
It would be called the Big 5.
No one doubts the quality of liverpool, but they have under acheived....they should have won the league many times especially with the likes of Fowler, Owen, Redknapp in the squad in the late 90's early 00's but "couldn't do the last sprint"
Finally, The CC may be 'Mickey Mouse' for some teams, but for a side like Spurs, beating Arse and Chelski to our first cup in years is a great acheivement for a team not performing in the EPL and going through a change of manager
and i would not say we were lucky, any person with a footballing brain would know that we outplayed Chelski on the day and came out deserved winners
It depends which way you look at it. Most Liverpool fans that i know seem to think, as you seem to, that last season was a vast improvement and that they moved closer than ever to closing the immense gap on United.
In the 2006/07 season LFC finnished 3rd and were runners up in the champions league final. But in the 2007/08 season they finnished 4th and went out of Europe at the semi final stages.
If this is an improvement then what are you aiming for this year? 5th place and the quarter finals! Feel free to come on here and point out our lack of success in the premier league if it makes you feel better but I would suggest you get your own house in order first.
The run we had was far harder. Inter, Arsenal and Chelsea are better teams than Barcelona, PSV and the Chelsea of 07. We went out thanks to a freak, freak goal. And in the EPL it was one horrible run due to the ownership which has now gone so wonderfully quiet. I expect we finish within seven points of the winners and CL semis again. But back on topic, my bad for straying.
Until you have proven yourselves challengers for the CL spots, I doubt players like Villa will come to you, no matter how much green you shove down his neck. Eto'o said it all for me, 'they are simply not big enough'. thats what you said
were not big enough and arenht challangers for CL spots.
okay fair enough, but still, we managed to get the likes of gio and modric here. Modric is already a star and gio will blossom into one
Big is the wrong word bruv. Spurs are one of the biggest clubs in England. We're not successful enough in recent times true but we're certainly big enough. Eto'o is a complete numpty anyway who's head is so far up his own a** its untrue! We aren't a 'mid-table' club based on one poor season in the prem, we are considered challengers for CL spots consistently & that is often enough for some players. We are easily as big as Valencia. They aren't in the CL anymore & he seems perfectly happy to stay there.
While I don't think Villa will come to Tottenham, I don't see it as impossible and actually find it quite believable that he might pick us. Many players from Spain like the lure of London and between Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs we have a respected Spanish management that would probably help us out alot, just like Rafa has at Anfield
