This one is gonna be a hell of a game,

I hope we can field our true starting line-up, see what it will look like.

Decent is very subjective, but expect the £30-range at a minimum.

Well, ive been to 2 pre-season games so far & seen 13 goals!

1-6 loss by a "Tottenham X1" (lol) to Crawley & a 5-1 win over Orient (& Modric's first goal for Spurs).

An easy 4-0 win on Sunday.

      Bent 1, Arshavin 1 & Villa 2

wow the prices aren't low but here in america we have some tickets that go for a LOT of money and it looks like the most expensive of tickets @ WHL will cost you around £70-£80 not bad I guess

how do WHL ticket prices compare to other clubs?

Out of the 20 Premiership clubs we are probably in the top 4 most expensive. But then we are the GREATEST team the world has ever seen, so i suppose it is only to be expected.

      :withstupid:
We're getting a bit OT, but I'll indulge anyway.....

I forget how expensive football is now until I have to apply for away tickets and find myself shelling out £40+ on supposedly 'mediocre' opposition.

Of course, that's as nothing compared to the £500 or so I end up lashing out for a European away day!

The days of pitching up two hours before kick-off on a Saturday and paying £2 as a junior to stand on the terraces are long gone!

As for Roma, I'm not going. Can't remember the last time I went to a pre-season game actually. Think it was Mabbs's testimonial against Newcastle. That was years ago!

Good Morning, I think the friendlies are good for the
coach to look at plenty of players fitness wise, but they
actually mean very little. Last season we were good,
(undefeated possibly?) then when the Premier League
started we were soon near the bottom.
Roma, win or lose, means nothing at all.
A good start to the campaign away at Middlesbrough
      is what interests me.
A meaningless thrashing of Roma, or a scrappy 0-1
at Boro, I know which I'd take every time.
Hopefully both would keep everyone happy.
      Kindest Regards Slim.

I read somewhere that roma have (180) fans turning out for this game................ that is a poor turn out considering the amount of fans torino turned up with last year.

For this reason I am willing to accept a defeat this weekend if it means it keeps us on our toes when Middlesborough comes round. This is not to say that I don't hope we tonk them and then get off to a flyer as well and I trust that Juande will ensure that will happen., just that if defeat and a little wake up call this weekend means a better start than the last two seasons I will not be complaining.
