have to agree with a lot thats said top 4 very difficult dont see it happen
but do believe if we get off to a flier you never know bent is going to be
the key berba will go so if ramos makes the right signing up front to partner

One thing Spurs have lacked for years is consistency. We can play brilliantly one week but total crap the next so we need to sort that out if we want to challenge for a top 6 place let alone a top 4. I think mate. We both realize top four is too far I think and know that less than top eight is inexplicably poor?
As I said in the original post, I don't think any of us expect a top 4 finish. We all HOPE we can do it but we are not putting added pressure on a new, young team. We did that last year & look where it got us. However, as I pointed out in a separate thread, we do have a really good chance to get a good run going at the beginning of this season and get a decent amount of points on the board. With no pressure & confidence high all I'm saying is the talent is there for a top 4 finish but I, a I think most of us would, will be more than happy with top 6.
top 4 is acheviable but not likely, we all hope it does though but were not saying we will do it
the talents there, if our midfield can gel it will be one of the most creative, and devastating midfields in the leauge.
i think its possible this year but ever since i was a kid ive watched spurs sides under achieve and, to take the "touch of realism" part of the heading in this topic and bringing into my own post, im not getting my hopes up. too many tears and broken heart moments over the years.
the thing im pinning my hopes on is this time around we have a manager who wants to manage spurs and one who can make our guys wake up to thier own potential. potential isnt enough they need to do it now. now all we need is the players to wake and realise what they really can do. one of the best nights of my life was that 5-1 win over the arse and the feeling that night was magic. i just hope we can replicate that this season a few more times and wake up the the truth that our guys really are quality.
compare our squad to the other "top six" contenders and its obvious the others cannot compete, and while your at it just take a look at the liverpool and chelsea squads. in all honesty we have a squad to match them, its all about belief, and what ramos can make our squad believe what they are capable of and putting it into practice.

Well, the interesting thing listening to the pundits on the telly, they make an awful lot about 'winning something'. Specifically referring to Arsenal, they were saying its a real issue that the team lacks genuine 'winners' & the longer they go without winning anything the harder it will become.
Now we ARE winners this year round so that's got to count for something to. Its a major difference to the 5th place finishes we achieved the years before. Now we KNOW we are a team capable of winning things,we know how it feels and we are hungry for it. 5th place is like getting knocked out in a semi-final, no-one really remembers you for it & you feel like you weren't quite good enough, you just missed out.
The psychological effect of coming into this season as winners is massive & could be the difference.
