Why in the flying fook?!?!
I pray Ade don't get injured. This sends the wrong message, how can QPR and Everton be looking at better strikers than us?
What kind of wages is Pav on?, and what would we be paying Saha?
Maybe the thinking is that we get some cash for Pav, plus we cut back on squad wages. Getting a player who isn't much different in what he offers us than Pav.
It's a bit underwhelming, but I think we all knew we weren't going to pull out a massive striker signing while we have Adebayor on loan and Defoe, who isn't happy with the games his getting as it is.

I know he's had a very poor season but I didn't expect the reaction to be this negative towards Saha.
The only positive that can come out of this deal is that it enables us to buy a top striker in the summer.
We've needed to get rid of Pav, bringing in Saha on loan will enable us to do that.
When he goes we'll have Defoe left. So we may push for Adebayor permanently (as we are now) and hopefully a young up coming ST.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
for me this guy is a rubbish pav and my dislike of pav is through the roof. When someone told me i thought they were joking but why in gods name are we even looking at this guy. He has scored 1 goal in 18 games this season for me when i've seen him he seems just as lazy and disinterested as pav and he also has the same problem as pav. Can have a good game but then goes missing for the next 5 or 6. I mean what has it come to when we're taking players that belong to a team that have scored 22 goals in 22 games and he's a fcking striker.
I know we want to put a positive spin on things etc but for me im finding it very hard to find one. Even the news of pav leaving wouldnt console me over this deal if we're looking at strikers that are old why not look at Amauri if we knew it was going to come to this he clearly wasnt wanted and we could've got a loan deal on him for 6 months. Never in this window was i expecting us to sign an everton reject. If it's true i really hope i'm proved wrong but for me we're just signing another lazy disinterested striker who's even less prolific than pav.
What would you rather have.......8-10 million for Pav or Saha on loan for 3 months.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Guess the club werent interested in him.
But you'd have to think Saha is a plan C and we just cant get our top targets for now. A lot has been mentioned about the summer and if we have some of the players we've been linked to lined up for then I'll be extremely happy and ok with Saha on loan.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
I dont see the point. we dont rotate much anyway and if adebayor was to get injured saha would most likely already be injured as usual so defoe would play. whats in it for saha? he gets to be in a better team i suppose but at least he gets on at everton.

An injury prone 30 year old oh Arry you minx
............
If we get Saha for 6 months on loan and get rid of Pav then we can get a marquee signing in the summer as we will be a Champions League club again............Simples!
