Also, Jordan Archer (Academy Goalkeeper last season), Massimo Luongo (arguably our most consistent performer in the academy last season) have been taken out of the academy listing on the official website and moved into the "Professional" list. I'm suspecting Luongo will get a loan to a championship club this season, should be a good test for him.

Our website is notoriously slow when it comes to changing our player profiles......half the players on the professional page still have updates from January about being on loan.

    Here's the link

Sportwereld - Belgisch talent Paul José Mpoku keert terug naar Standard

    Slackarses.

I see that Eidur has gone to AEK Athens. Now there's a real would have, could have, should have journeyman.

I felt a bit embarrassed for him to even contemplate on going back and trying to sign for WHU. Surprised they were interested after he dumped them so abruptly to come over to the good guys

I guess he has had a good career overall, just the last few years it has really petered out when given his versatility and experience he really could still have been playing for a good club and making a contribution instead of moving from club to club and playing hardly any games.

Lads start well in Milk Cup - News Articles - Tottenhamhotspur.com

Our Academy squad enjoyed a 4-0 win against Otago of New Zealand in their first match of the prestigious Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.

Dominic Ball struck twice with further goals from Nathan Oduwa and an own goal after fine work from Kenneth McEvoy (pictured above).

The lads next take on Northern Ireland side County Fermanagh this evening, kick-off 8pm, before a final group game against South-Coast Strikers of the USA at 6pm on Wednesday.

Our 18-man squad consists mainly of First Year scholars, plus Under-16 and Under-15 schoolboys, and is in the 'Premier' section of the tournament with international teams competing in the 'Elite' section.

There are 20 teams in the Premier section including the likes of Manchester United, Bolton, Zamora FC (Venezuela), Aspire (Qatar) and a number of teams from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The competition, staged at 14 venues in the Coleraine, Limavady, Ballymoney and Ballymena areas, sees teams ranked 1-20 after their three group matches.

From there, they are divided into four groups of four for the final play-offs, so, the best four teams will play-off in the semi-final and final to be ranked one, two, three and four, and so on.

Matches are played over 70 minutes and teams can choose five from eight named substitutes.

"This is a very important part of pre-season," said Academy Manager John McDermott.

"We have this tournament, the Eurofoot in Belgium and another tournament in Manchester and then we'll be into the season.

"We played well against Otago but they made us work hard for every goal."

The tournament started with a parade of all teams through Coleraine on Sunday.

"It was great for the players to be involved in that and I've got to say thanks to all the support we've received from Northern Ireland," added John. "There are Spurs shirts everywhere!"

Spurs v Otago: Granger, Michael-Precil (Sonupe), Gardiner, Modeste, Ward (Ogilvie), Smith, Champion, Ball, Lameiras, Zapata-Caicedo (Akindayini), McEvoy (Oduwa).

He's a striker and only joined our academy this year so I dont think we can compare him to Bale in a football aspect. I dont know much about him but hes very young and seems like his career has only kicked off.

Now, if he perks his hair up with a bit of gel then yeah being a lookalike might make him some side money
