After the 5-1 defeat of the Arse and his dance of joy, I would say that at the time I would have agreed with you. But unfortunately once he decided to jump ship and head off to his "boyhood" team of Liverpool (or was it Celtic?) he showed his true colours I am afraid.
I thought he was fantastic for us first time round and I wanted him to be fantastic again for us. As did many others on here and at WHL (The place of CL football) but except for a game against Burnley early in the season he never reached the heights of former seasons and his passion for the club and ours for him seemed to diminish each passing week until he was loaned out.
It is a shame but I am afraid that although, once he came back to us we could forgive his exodus to Liverpool we can never forget it, neither can we forget the comments he made when doing so.
I still rate him as one of our better players in recent times, but do I feel sorry for him? I would answer that question with one of my own, did he feel sorry for Spurs or its loyal fans when he decided to jump ship and head north to Anfield?

Darren Bent, Jamie Oharer and Robbie Keane i hope you were all watching last night!!!
Not a jot of emotion for any of them especialy Keane, he made his bed so f*cking lay in it mate, turned me sour after he pissed of to Liverpool its only down hill for him now, sad in a way but them the choices you make!
Whats the betting it`s a boyhood dream for Robbie to play for Spurs in the CL![]()
You could have something there ffs ^
I think Pav's vodka jig and David Bentley's 'look at me i'm half naked on live tv' jig was better. But yeah, Robbie's a legend but he's had his day. You don't just have a player for a celebration at the end of the season. Unless that players ThfcIre![]()
On the day before Jorge Valdano was going to give 17 year old Raúl his Real Madrid debut,he went to see Raúl and said "I'm thinking of playing you tomorrow, but I'm worried you might be nervous." Raúl replied "Well, If you want to win, play me. If you don't want to win, put someone else in the team." Raúl Gonzalez Blanco <3
There are many, many Spurs greats who never played in the CL/Euopean Cup, but there time is in the past - and so is Keane's! He was a legend but was is the operative word in that statement! I can see him gone this summer and, while I'll remember him with good feelings, he's not good enough to come back now. Bit like Klinsmann, Hoddle, Blancheflower, Tull, etc.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
He was my favourite player for years until the Liverpool transfer. I still wanted him to do well and prove everyone wrong in his second spell; but his confidence seemed shot (although he still worked hard for the team).
I forgave Sherringham because the guy ultimately needed silverware and came back to help us out of the mire; but there's still a sour taste with Keane.

Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
the only ones i give a fook about are the lads who have gave it there all this season to make us the happiest bunch of yids in a long long time!
Oh - you want me to watch my mouth, how?
Take my fcukin eyeballs out, and turn em around?
nobody likes him anymore
I'd like to thank Keane.
If he hadn't of ****ed off Ramos would still be the coach and we wouldn't be in the CL right now! haha
Agree. He and Berba pouting and demanding to be sold cost us dearly the following season. He sealed it for me when he started kissing that Liverpool badge.
