Im not worried who we get tbh, its up to us to prove ourselves at this level , otherwise as yidno says whats the point ?
I'm not phased by any of the teams Sky have listed today. Might have been friendlies but we've beaten sides better than ALL of them in recent years and in some cases beaten better sides convincingly.
One thing I'm praying doesn't happen is for us to play Ajax. Not because i'm scared of them but I'd LOVE for both us and Big Martin's Ajax to be in the group stages
Would love to knock Celtic out, im a secret Rangers fan. Especially if Keane is in the team, (which is unlikely?)
I have been hearing that the qualifying round teams will be put into 2 groups. The 1st group will consist of Us,Lyon,CSKA etc. and the other will consist of teams like Linfield,Bohemians and other minnows.
The 1st group of teams can only draw eachother while the 2nd group of teams can only draw eachother. This is so help the so call minnows get a chance.
Can anyone confirm this please?
That's basically true & goes back to what I was saying earlier about Champions not being able to play non-champions. Obviously, if you've won your respective League & that is only good enough to see you into the Champion's League qualifying rounds, you are basically a minnow (like Linfield).
Here it is explained by UEFA, altho it took me several readings thru to fully grasp what the hell they are on about!
Champion's League format
Jan Vertonghen!
Vertonghen is his name!
Spurs will never ever-ever,!
lose again!
