please no more Crouch..i would rather play with one striker or more better Eidur with Pav than to see long balls again...players have just started to play beautifull football again and they just forgot to play "long" aaaand without Crouch we are winers of course ...sht i cant watch the match again, working working working...fck

Stoke away is rarely an easy game....let alone with the present injury crisis!
Eidur hasn't looked that sharp in the few games that he's featured....and I suspect the majority on this site don't rate Crouch as a starter....so maybe Pav should spearhead attack with a 5-man midfield behind him. With Bale, Modders and Krankie pushing forward it should ensure that the supply line is maintained. If things are looking bleak with 30 minutes to go, 'Arry can then bring on the beanpole!

I think Stoke will go with 5 accross the middle, which might give us a problem, then the long ball does come into play. With this is mind i think Crouch and Pav, with Eider providing some input later on.

Defoe's hamstrings been troubling him since before the England Egypt game, a tear should be 2 weeks maximum. We are more than capable of beating Stoke and Fulham without him. Just hopw Wilson doesny get another yellow today.

Are we assuming JJ will be the first back from the sick bed, followed by Bentley, Lennon then Tom?.

Anyone got anything concrete on any of the above? COYS

No, Defoe said he thinks he will be back in time for the Arsenal game or the Semi Final. I think it's more he is hoping to be back by then.

I've seen people out for a month with his injury, so I hope he doesn't rush himself back and put himself out for the season and even the World Cup.

as long as pav's injury isn't bad and he plays on wednesday, defoe can take his time i think. needless to say, he's an integral part of the squad, but with eidur's (and, yes, crouch's) performances today i think we're alright in the forward department.
