In terms of the park Lane not for the "faint hearted" what does that mean? loads of violence?

What is with the Park Lane/Shelf Side singing, what's the history?
Yes,if it was going to kick off inside the ground it was generally in the Park Lane.

As for the to & fro singing, im not really sure how that got started. Im trying to think of when i first heard it! If it comes back to me i will let you know.

atmosphere was pretty poor on sat to be fair. park lane wasnt particularly loud neither was the shelf. Park lanes easier to get tickets for. my m8 got 3 tickets in the park lane last tuesday. back in the day both were pretty lively and both saw fair share of action

I tried for months to get tickets, and Blackburn was the only game we had a chance in. A lot of American fans around were being asked where they got their tickets from some Touting Officer guy trying to clamp down on tickets, and it seemed everyone around us had paid about £80 for tickets from some random guys outside.

The Americans were funny though, like someone said, got all funny when you jumped up and stuff. One even said "Why are the Spurs fans dissing at each other?" when everyone was singing We are the Park Lane/Shelf Side song. I hung my head in shame.

The place deffo gives you goosebumps when it gets into full voice though!
It is difficult to get into a game when you don't know the songs. I experienced this at the Reading Spurs game a couple years ago. Sat very top row at the lane but couldn't understand a word of the songs. It wasn't until the end of the game when I realized what the chants were. Also, we really don't have anything really at all that compares to the atmosphere that is present at a game in England or anywhere Europe. The closest we will get that that is the student section at a college American football game. It helps if people let the others know what is going on that look mystified by all the chants, which was me a while ago.

      what?

don't those who 'go to every game' have a season ticket?

the only area of the shelf that is ever loud is blocks 29/30/31 and I think you'll find they never make general sale

i've never read anything so ridiculous as the 'heart' comment

I've sat in those blocks and I agree, this is the part of the shelf that's loud. I've even sat in Block 28 and, even though it's a few seats away from Block 29, isn't that loud...
