WHAT?!? Have you ever BEEN to Estonia to say things like that? Or are you just listening to the Russian media that brainwashes you? Myself I'm Estonian and I've lived here for the whole life and besides, I know how things actually are. So:
Yes, Estonians have had problems with Russians and some Estonians don't like Russians because under the rule of the USSR Estonia suffered from harsh repressions. But this was the USSR and there's no USSR anymore, right?
the USSR also brought wide Russification policy in which huge amounts of Russians immigrated to Estonia. After that about 20% of population were formed by Russians. That's quite a lot, isn't it? So when 20% of the whole population is formed by russians then you cannot say that they're just here, doing nothing and being pain in our ass. No. The ones, Russians, who have Estonian citizenship have absolutely the same rights as an Estonian person does. They have rights to vote, rights to get the job they like etcetc. And they are here working on every field of occupation: in the police, most of Russian language teachers at school are Russians, they work at the shops, even in the parliament!
And those who you tralk about... it's all their fault. You do understand yourself that there are some regulations for the job, don't you? For example you have to know the language enough or what ever. And if they don't fulfil these regulations then they are not able to get the job. Obvious. So it's actually their problem when they don't learn the language, isn't it? For example my neighbour has lived in Estonia for 20 years and all she knows what to say is 'hello' and 'goodbye'. And she's feeding cats all day long and living on the unemployment money. Is she doing anything to improve her situation?
And, please, stop saying that we praise the Nazis. FFS, NO! Just because right-wing party is ruling our country does not mean that we're some kind of Nazis. Hell no. Hitler is hated here as much as Stalin. so end of story.
To summarize it all up: Russians are equal to Estonians when to own Estonian citizenship. All the ones you we're talking about are those who do nothing to get to better situation and they are the ones who catch the eye of russian media. The end. I hope I cleared things up for you.
