Everyone is entitled to dreams & if his desire to 1 day play for Real Madrid is the motivation he needs to do well at Spurs, so be it.

I Kinda agree with what you are saying bass. Ambition is never a bad thing. However announcing him like he did shows total lack of respect for the club and the fans. Its untactful and quite frankly stupid.

If i wanted to work for another company in my industry sector. I wouldn't inform my boss that I was only here so I could advance my career. It's simply not tactful.

Truth is, I'm not worried about him going to Real Madrid as quite simply. He isn't good enough. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth that he would publically say this though.

As Contrast said, all Palacios has ever done is give 100% - the same can hardly be said of Pav.

I totally agree that perhaps it would be best not to say such things but I don't think what Wilson actually said was that bad at all, he even said he was very happy at Tottenham. Its the spin & twist that the papers put on it that make it sound so bad.

I don't know for sure but Wilson was probably talking to media back in Honduras, where such a comment would not really offend, & had probably been asked by some Journo whether he 1 day could see himself at a huge club like Real.

Those comments get taken out of context & lead to headlines such as him "using Spurs for Real switch". Is Fibreglass "using Arsenal" because he dreams of 1 day playing for Barca? Did Ronaldo "use Manchester United" because he is now at Madrid, living his dream? They certainly don't paint it like that in the media.

It is just yet another example of the press sticking the knife into Tottenham

This feels like we have been stabbed in the heart. WP is such a loved player and is what we have lacked for years. 2 Years on and this ..... I hate the word "USE". If he has "USED" us i am very dissapointed and is proven that players dont have enough heart. Only one player who has heart for tottenham and his name is Jamie O'hara. If WP goes i am sure Jamie could do a job there....

You lot take this far too personally. You have to keep in mind most of these players are paid mercenaries, and don't have life long connections to the team they are playing for. It is really no different than each one of us. If we get an opportunity that we feel is better somewhere else we take it. Why should things be any different for footballers?

When they are on the pitch, players should give it there all because that is what they are paid to do. Otherwise, they owe the club absolutely nothing. They each have to act in their own best interest just as the club acts in its own best interest.

Well if we cant match his ambitions he will go the same way as the rest of the great players to have graced WHL over the years

We dont match their ambitions then they will achieve them else where. As long as they are brutally honnest and dont pledge their lives and future to Spurs and them fook of to one of their 5 boyhood clubs I dont mind.

Palacios is RIGHT NOW a WHL Legend.
