I wouldn't be so sure. At least part of the financial mess they've got themselves into is down to the players they had at the time (transfers, wages, money going missing.....). It is, at the very least, a contributory factor.

As far as the comment about Liverpool not deserving it..... well, frankly whoever finishes fourth is who deserves it. If that ends up being Liverpool then it's a bit rich to say they didn't deserve it. Would be like Whinger's wind-up from a few seasons back saying Arsehole were the best team in England and finished second.....

Id take the FA cup. 4th doesnt even guarantee CL and wed probably **** up in the qualifying rounds. 3rd I would take before the cup, we already have 8 and thats maybe enough.

top 4, the club needs it for the money and also the glamour that goes with it

WHL deserves one last hurrah of world class players gracing its pitch under the lights

also we attract better players if we are playing CL football and if we want to return to the glory days we need top drawer players

Agreed, it has a shed to do with the situation that Pompey find themselfs in, buying players on silly wages to reach the rewards has now back fired on them spectaculary!

As for us Top 4 every time, its the only way wel get any where from now on.

FA Cup all day long. Winning a trophy is alot better than a season not winning a trophy. Fill those trophy cabinets up again COYS!

We need CL if we are to progress as a club. Would love to see us knock the Dippers or the Scum out of the CL, they woud be royally screwed without that extra revenue.

The FA cup does have a big place in my heart and winning it is always special. You never know we may do both.

HEAD says 4th place and potentially Champions League. More money. More prestige. More chance of signing and keeping the players we want.

HEART says F.A. Cup. It's the world's greatest domestic cup competition. It's a fabulous day out at Wembley. It's all that newspaper & TV coverage. It's the chance to see Niko in a cup final suit again!

as a foriegner, i say FA Cup. that is unless they start handing out trophey for going to CL. if thats the case then professional soccer in Europe is like our peewee leagues here in the states in that you get a trophey just for showing up.

Silverware is always good! now i'll take EPL title over FA Cup though every day and twice on sunday. but i think that is a different question.

I here what your saying as silverware is and should be more important than 4th but like i said its just not the case anymore.

Thats why i really beleive they should make it top 2 and winners of FA cup and Carlin cup winners all to qualify for CL.

It would make the cups far more important and it would bring back the magic that has been lost.... Its all about the money now

We all, quite rightly, want both, but lets face it we're not good enough to do either at the moment. We're still two or three quality players off being a top notch team who can expect top 4 and important trophies.

I would say that we are certainly good enough for the FA cup right now, due in large part to the fact that Liverfool, the scum, and Manure are all out of it. Aside from Chelski I think we have the best chance.
