the fact that he's got slightly worse aerial/acrobatic ability and a distinct lack of yiddo nature is something that pains me. especially the latter; as in the cup final who would you rather have in between the sticks; the guy that would knock himself out to clear the ball? or the guy who stares down his home support?

obviously once gomes has knocked himself out; cudicini is welcome to take his rightful place; but spurs legends only become that through love of the club; it's something that is central to our history, and footballing tradition; as love of the game and the club promotes the best football and performances.

this is the very reason why sol wouldn't be seen as a great spurs legend in the years to come; despite his performances for us; his heart simply wasn't in it.

i think harry will sign david james in january,cudicini is great for cover though,probably end up selling gomes

Why would we buy James and sell Gomes? There would be no logic in such a move. No other team in the world put in a bid for DJ in the summer. I wonder why. I know ageism is not allowed at work but DJ or Gomes . No contest.

I wouldn't swap Gomes for any other keeper in the world.
As for Cudicini, we got him 10 years too late, all those years on the Chelski bench haven't helped him. He hasn't made any real mistakes, but he isn't good enough. His reach and reaction is poor.
He doesn't fill me with confidence when he plays, and I am not even sure I am happy with him even as back up keeper. Bring back Robbo I say!

Gomes = world class keeper
anyone who cant see that is blind , prolly harry would be in the wrong job then.
