I know everyone is liking the idea of another box to box midfielder, but I think if we sign VDV and emply him out wide during Modric's injury, that Van Der Vaart and Palacios show so much class that they would be a great central partnership in the middle when Modric does come back. Besides, in dutch and Madrid games, VDV doesn't shy away from tackles when he needs to.
It would give us a solution to Modric being out. It will give us more class than we already have. It will give us a lot of options in the long run.
I'm well for this - Though, despite these "spanish reports", I think its a long long way off.

huggie bear of coursenah but seriously; don't believe anything you hear until the window is closed. anything can happen at this stage; and even harry and dan probably don't know who's coming in if anyone! i'd like to think that i'm not going to be glued to ssn on tuesday because of last summer's disappointment; but lets be honest we all know its going to happen. let's hope that on wednesday i wake up a happy man.
