If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
Is Jake Livermore any relation to Doug Livermore? They look nothing alike but it does seem a coincidence

I have said this on a couple of occasions now, but at the moment Palacios is going through a bit of dip in form. How bad is Jake if he isn't even considered to deputise while this is happening?
He made his league debut last year, so Harry must see something in him other wise he wouldn't have put him on (even though it was only for about a minute and a half.) I really want our younger player to seize the moment and challenge our first teamers. What ever team achieves this, will have a very successful season imo, as a 25 man squad will start to look very thin around December and the team with the best youth policy will have the means to overcome this.....
With the sense of doom and gloom which is slowly creeping over our club of late, a ray of light I guess was Jake Livermore's performance against Brighton at the weekend.
*I didn't see the game, but by all accounts he was our best player at the Amex. I personally thought he started very well in the Carling Cup game against Arsenal and looked to have a bit of ability, however he has struggled out on loan.
But Harry obviously rates him....
"Harry Redknapp was impressed with Jake Livermore’s contribution in Saturday’s 3-2 friendly win at Brighton.
The youngster started in central midfield alongside Jermaine Jenas and struck the crossbar in the first half before grabbing the winner in the second half at the all-new Amex Stadium.
Jake robbed goalkeeper Peter Brezovan of possession in the penalty before calmly slotting home for 3-2 in the 69th minute.
“Jake is a lad with great attitude, wants to be a player, works hard, is a smashing boy and we hope he has a chance,” said Harry.
“When I came here people had written him off a bit but I liked him from day one and it would be great if he could make it here at Tottenham.”
With Jamie O'Hara already gone. Jenas, Palacios and probably Kranjcar all probable departures along with the uncertainty of Modric's future and Sandro being injured (Hudd as well I think) we are certainly lacing in that area at the moment......could Jake make the step up?
He looked good at MK as well. It is a case of getting him into games as much as possible this season - I would hate to see him playing in the lower leagues in a couple of years and that seems to happen with far too many of our promising youngsters.
Given a seasons worth of Premier League experience this kid could be a regular next season or two hopefully, I'm one for bringing up young English talent through the ranks

Jake's next step - News Articles - Tottenhamhotspur.comReally hope this kid makes it here seems to have a real good attitude and thought highly of from Redknapp think he will get alot more playing time this season in Europa and cup matches as well as a few in the league.
Nice little interview with him.....
Tottenham youngster aims to impress Harry Redknapp in Europa League - Tottenham - London 24
Jake Livermore is hoping that an extended run in Tottenham’s European team can boost his claims to a role in the Premier League.
Jake Livermore is hoping that an extended run in the Europa League will help him to catch Harry Redknapp’s eye, and provide him with a platform to push for a regular role in the Premier League. Livermore has featured heavily for Tottenham in their pre-season campaign and was involved in their last warm-up game on Saturday, coming off the bench for the final 10 minutes of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at White Hart Lane.
With Redknapp already admitting that Livermore will be a regular in Europe, the youngster is set to face plenty more continental opposition – and he admits that he has never been so excited about the start of the season.“It was nice to be involved on Saturday, it was great to be back on home turf,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of games, and I’ve had a lot of games myself in this pre-season, and it’s nice to be playing at White Hart Lane again.
“The manager’s been good with me so far, and this is probably the most excited I’ve ever been at this stage.“I’ve not had too many good pre-seasons. I broke my leg in one, and then I was suspended for the season after. Then the season after that I wasn’t very well and then I went out on loan – so I’m looking forward to this season.“Hopefully I can get some games and cement a place. That’s all I want. Obviously it’s hard at Tottenham because we’ve got internationals throughout our squad. We could put out two teams, like in the Europa League, and still look to win most games.“I’m hoping that Europe can be a little shop window for me, so to speak, where I can get some games and show the manager what I can do.
Hopefully from there I can start getting some Premier League starts and possibly cement a place.”While next week’s trip to Hearts is a far cry from the glamorous Champions League nights that Tottenham enjoyed against Inter Milan, AC Milan and Real Madrid last season, Livermore insists that the Lilywhites won’t underestimate their Scottish opponents.
And the young midfielder is fully aware that the calibre of the opposition will increase if Spurs’ second string can fight their way through to the knockout stages of the competition.“Before we drew Hearts we weren’t sure where we were going to be playing, it could have been anywhere - but it’s obviously not too far,” he said. “They look like a good side, it will be a tough game.“When I was on loan at Leeds last season I saw all the big games that we were playing in Europe, against the likes of Inter and the Real Madrid, and I came back and watched as many of the games as I could.“Obviously you want to test yourself against those kind of players. As a kid you either want to play for or against those sort of teams.”

Read livermores interview that was posted on the clubs website. What a fantastic young club man. Seriusly makes me proud of the club and him.
I think he is gonna be a very important box to box player for us. We don't have one at the club tbh.
But what is interesting about it is who he will be learning his trade from. Attacking from Luka. Defensive from Parker/Sandro. He gets it right and wow, we have somthing special.
Presume this is the one. No link, just off a spurs news email.
Jake Livermore knows he's still learning - even though he's featured in 30 of our 40 matches in all competitions so far this season.
The 22-year-old has been a sensation in his breakthrough season, from a goal in the first match of the campaign at Hearts through to a fine display against Manchester United on Sunday.
Jake was outstanding alongside Sandro as we bossed the first hour against the reigning champions only to end up losing 3-1 at the Lane.
“At the moment, if it has to be that I play one game, miss a game and so on, then for someone of my age and experience, I can’t be too unhappy about that," said the Enfield-born midfielder.
"It’s no disgrace for me to be down the pecking order behind the likes of Luka Modric – would could walk into any team in the Premier League in my opinion – or Scott Parker, recently named the new England captain!
"These are top class footballers and it’s great for me to learn from players of that calibre but then show what I can do when I get my chances.
“It’s obviously a learning curve for me still at the moment, but I’m just loving my football, whether that’s training, having a kickabout, or playing against Manchester United.
“But I was talking to some of the senior lads the other day and they were saying that you never stop learning, you pick things up in almost every game you play.
"Sometimes situations arise in a match and although it’s all so quick in your mind, you learn from those situations and next time you can be ready for it.
“It’s amazing how you continue to learn and gain experience no matter how long you’ve been playing the game.
