He needs to earn that my friend.
I dont care who his national team is, who he played for before us, WE PAY HIS WAGES.
He has to peform in training before he gets his chance mate but I 100% agree that I want him to succeed!!!

Gio just needs support from fans and managers alike. If Harry will give him the opportunity, Gio will be a dazzler. He has the capability to soar and he will, if given the chance.

How can he earn a place on the team if he's not given the chance ? It doesn't matter which national team he plays for if a player with so much promise does not get a chance to show his prowess at club level what then is the use of paying his wages ? You might as well sell him to one who will make good use of his abilities.
Gio will perform if given the chance and Harry is the key here.
Turning up to training on time would be a good start!
Nobody is doubting this kids quality in the occasional match, its whether he has the dedication & commitment to reproduce that form week in/week out in the most intense league in the world.
Considering he apparently has trouble committing himself to training, it's starting to look like not.
However, I do find it odd that he got on so well at Ipswich. Roy Keane would not suffer him for long if he was not 100% committed & I don't know why he would be able to devote himself there & not here. Perhaps it was a reality check for the lad &, seeing as tho he has not really spent much time at Spurs since returning from Ipswich, we might see him come back this season all raring to go.
He has said he wants to stay at Spurs & prove himself, so let's see
Jan Vertonghen!
Vertonghen is his name!
Spurs will never ever-ever,!
lose again!

Figured he was finally going to get his chance, albeit on the left (I think his best pos in a 4-4-2 would be up front), and then they sign Niko.
The guy is clearly developing in international competition and put a very good showing against Doncaster. Bentley's polish came off the back of Gio's hard work and skill.
Where to for him? If he's going, it won't be before season's end.
He is a class act and Roy Keane said he was very happy with the lads attitude. That said he has not got a great reputation at the training ground although this has improved I am told.
All players need an opportunity and the Cup games are a good start, I thought he did well. As the season progresses injuries and suspensions plus we hope good cup runs will create more opportunities.
At the moment we have a settled winning team, Arry would be a fool to change this more than he has to. I know exactly the response he would get on this forum if he changed a winning side and then lost. Just look at the other PL managers who get slated for to many changes. Gio needs an opportunity but he also needs to be patient and fully committed.
Its annoying. I want to see Gio up and about. If he fails, THEN we sell.
Better than seeing him waste away to nothing.
