He has shown great improvement but its not black and white. His great performances come against teams we really should be getting 3 points from. He's somewhere in between for me. At Everton he was mediocre and at Arse he was sh!t3. In games where the entire team played well, Hudd-lovers make the excuse that he was instrumental in the win. I want to see him play well in the games where our team is average. I want him to play well in wins at Fulham and Bolton or home against Villa, not necessarily against top sides but in fixtures where 3 points is tricky and where our team performance has faltered in the past. Hudd's performance varies with the direction of wind. We play well, he plays well. We play bad, he plays bad. I want to see Hudd standing out on days when the rest of the team is average.

We must remember that Tom is the same age now that Giggs, Scholes and Beckham were when they made their first appearances for Manure.
He is still on the improving curve with much still to learn about his game.

You can take it that way but I mean Hudd needs to influence the game more than he has in the past.

PLM makes a good point, however i'd like to add hudds been playing first team football at a high level since he was 16. I doubt his career will have the same longevity as theirs, but theres no reason he can't be just as good a player.
