its not just one match he has made some bad mistakes in a few games i was giving him the benifit on the doubt but i was wrong he is still makeing the mistakes

I love big G but he has cost us so so so so so so many points in important games.

I think ya right slim I can see he going back to PSV for around about what we paid for him.

Shame to be honest, but a great stopper breads confidence through the team. Look what happened to the Mancs when he gave VDS a weekend off.

Cudda is the future I reckon.

I think that for the league we have to go with Cudicini. Not just cos Gomes made a total cock up the other night against Donetsk. That has been too regular an occurence all season - and a few weeks without such a mistake doesn't make him a safe pair of hands. For years its been a cliche to say Chelsea had the best two keepers in the Premiereship. Hopefully now we have Cudicini he can give us some stability at the back and instill some confidence in the back four!

Hmm. We'll see who's in the starting 11 today. I expect Cudini actually.

Gomes's threat to Redknapp
Londen - Heurelho Gomes used to be the undisputed number one at PSV, but so far he hasn't been been very succesfull at Tottenham Hotspur. The goalie doesn't feel supported by Harry Redknapp and threatened 'Make me you number one, or else ..'

He has let his team down several times in the past period. Last week the flamboyant Brazilian blundered in the UEFA-Cup as a result of which Tottenham lost 2-0 to Shaktar Donetsk. That is why in the winter Redknapp got Chelsea's Carlo Cudini. He defended Tottenhams goal in the past three Premier League matches. One of those won, one lost and one draw.

Gomes feels supported by Daniel Levy, but refuses to take place on the bench. For this reason he told Redknapp to make a choice between him and Cudini. Tonight Tottenham is to play against Hull.
"I was very disappointed to not be in the starting 11 against Arsenal (0-0) because I had declared to Harry that I was fit for my rentree. I don't feel threatened by Carlo because it's important for a club such as Tottenham to have good substitutes on the bench". Earlier this year, Gomes contended with an injury on his hip.

Nevertheless, Gomes isn't up for a possible departure from the English capital and blames his errors on his injury. "I still have a contract for at least three seasons and I intend to stay. But you won't see a happy face when sitting on the bench. I was fed up about my injury but Tottenham bought me to be the first keeper and I expect it to stay that way"
