2 Months ago I would have said Crouch.

I can officially now say "I was wrong", they'll be a lot of us in this group

      Pav over Crouch.

      Totally different types of strikers!

Crouch offers lots of long ball options (same when he plays for England) which isn't really the football we play - although there is much more to his game than that. Despite his skills though, his height seems to be be seen as an "out ball" for defenders, totally bypassing midfield with a hoof upfield .

Always felt Pav was a first choice striker for us - posted him & Keane as our front two pre-season............ hey 1 out of 2 ain't bad! He offers so much more than Crouch, which isn't meant to slag Crouch off as I feel he, Crouch, allows us to change our game plan later on in games.

Pav has always looked great for Russia - I'm delighted to see him doing the business for us now!

Roll on the FA Cup and the Champions League place!!!!!!!!

We don't need to compare completely different strikers, we have 4 very different strikers who can all be put to great use against the right opposition!

If we keep Pav this season i know that he's finally gonna crack this Premier League thing and the very, very best is gonna come out with loadsa goals. He was lonely at first b'coz he played in and around and alongside Arshavin for club and country. I hope 'Arry keeps him as a main striker and pick someone to play along side him, instead of the other way around. He just needs a bit of love.

I like Crouch but I don't think I have real reason. Anyone have a break down of where their goals came against? For some reason my memory seems to back Crouch scoring in big games while Pavs cleaned up in games that weren't as big.

My big issue with Pavs v Crouch is that I like Crouch more coming off the bench and I feel we will be bringing in another striker who would take the other starting spot. If we do sell Pavs we should sell him to another league because he does have 2 solid years, at least, left in his tank.

There's no denyeing that Super Pav can perform, Although it's not consistent. Where as, Crouch seems to be more of a threat, probably just in the air. After watching him rattle in to at Wigan, I was the biggest Super Pav fan about. However, after a couple games, I noticed he can't dribble for squat. He takes the harder route, the wrong pass. Although if he's in or around the box, he's superb, but when he's not, he's bloody dier at getting past players.

I think the both of them playing upfront would be interested. Crouchy heading it down for Pav to slot into the net. I really do feel Pav has more to show. Where as Crouch is probably the most threatening substitute. I don't know why there is a discussion between these too. Keane should be gone. Period.

crouch is better on the ground he has moments of dribbling brilliance, his body is just too weird and he is not quick enough but he has a terrific touch

pav is just a deadly striker on form he is fearless but he can be a terrific striker but not world class i think. he just needs to be fearless

      Super Super Pav.

      They're both Legends.
On the day before Jorge Valdano was going to give 17 year old Raúl his Real Madrid debut,he went to see Raúl and said "I'm thinking of playing you tomorrow, but I'm worried you might be nervous." Raúl replied "Well, If you want to win, play me. If you don't want to win, put someone else in the team." Raúl Gonzalez Blanco <3

firstly i want to say im not the biggest crouch fan but...

On saturday i thought crouch played a super game... he contested every ball and even if he didnt win the first ball the midfeild would ce competring for the knock downs.. he made them earn every header even if he couldnt win it himself.. His hold up play was much much better, there was no juggling the ball, as soon as he controlled it he released it wide for the counter attack. Also he looked much quicker than he did last season. So even though he didnrt look like scoring i thought he played realy well and i hope he can keep it up

      well done BIG fella

      crouch.

when its the all important goals he delivers.
but hes a second half bench player imo and a very very good option at that.

      pav

has an awfull lot of hidden tallent where as defoe i belleve is the finnishd article.
i would deffently start useing pav as a lone striker and give him time to link up with bale and lennon.
i really dont see a place anymore for defoe.
