He says the club are negotiating are trying to negotiate a settlement in which McCourt relinquishes control of the team and the team is put up for auction. The MLB and McCourt are arguing at the moment over the terms. McCourt wants guarantees that MLB won't sell the team for less then 1 billion dollars and the MLB won't make any assurances. I think if it's sold right now it would go for around $900m. Get this though, McCourt needs the team to be sold for 1 billion dollars or else he won't break even! He bought the team for $400m, can sell the team for $900m and would still make a loss? LMAO!

I know some people who have seen the bids for the Dodgers. Word is the team might be sold for $1.5 billion or more, which is bloody ridiculous. The fcuking bastard ruined my team and he's getting out of dodge with over a billion dollars in his pocket. I initially thought the team might sell for around $900m but because the TV rights are being included in the sale the value has skyrocketed.
