The history of fans turning rabid is a long one, with a new chapter added Wednesday night in Vancouver, where street riots erupted toward the end of pro hockey’s Stanley Cup final. No deaths were reported, but more than 100 people were injured, according to the Toronto Sun.

Vancouver is too crazy, sadly the fans have endured many failures and much mediocrity

It's very sad really. Vancouver is one of the best cities in North America and does a good job of mixing urban living in with the beautiful scenery. The people there aren't hooligans like its being described either, they're very civilized and cultured.

So don't think that just because Vancouver is being reported on in a negative light that it isn't still a great city. TBH if I am to stay in the Americas it would be my first choice of places to live.

I've been around Vancouver is nice. Rio, Sao Paulo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan are my favorites. If I could take my job to Puerto Vallarta I would leave tomorrow.

I have read a couple articles claming that the hooligans had this all planned. They were going to riot win or lose. It was a chance for a mob to plan ahead, break the place up and steal stuff.

i saw a vid of a guy getting sucker punched cos he was trying to set stuff on fire...

i don't condone their behaviour what-so-ever, i didn't think things like that happened in countries like canada!

it does go to show how passionate they are about their hockey! sport gets me very angry...
