Pointed gained after that performance ...

Blimey did we miss Tommy, Wilson was excellent but he had to do the work of two players, playing only one holding midfield player away from home? what was 'arry thinking about there? Our idea of attacking football was Dawson long ball to Crouch, who actually did fairly OK and got a few knock downs but with no end result. Crouchy was also the only one of our players who looked remotely like scoring.

For the umpteenth game in a row the opposition created nothing down our right side, Lennon may have been ineffective going forward but him and Charlie have the defensive side of things sewn up. BAE played well but as soon as Kranjcar went off he got far to narrow and we had three dangerous crosses pinged in from our left, not to mention that last minute cross-shot.

      Gomes awesome, absolute star.

As I said a point gained, now we need to beat the spammers big time .... COYS

good point, we didn't play well but Fulham are a very good football team at the moment- they just don't f--- up, do they? Good example of a group that is better than the sum of their parts and looked every bit a team that deserves to be in Europe.

They pressured us all over the park and really disrupted anything we tried to do. Jenas was lacking in this (or maybe any other) type of match, I understand Harry's trying to utilize his full squad rotation, but he just gives the ball away way too much.

The thing is, Fulham, Wolves, etc recognize that if you double team Lennon, Krancjar, there's no one coming through the middle of the park with enough pace and ability to threaten. Keane, lots of running, but to no effect. Crouch, not too bad, shouldve had a goal if not for poor officiating, and Schwarzer was really solid.

      Gomes=legend.

Big one against the spammers on Monday. Four points from these two matches would be fantastic IMO

Pretty happy with the point. We played poorly, but did just enough to get out of a tough away fixture. Gomes was top class, pulling our asses out of the fire multiple times. Crouch did okay, but didn't have much service, or help up front. As usual, Daws was a rock in the back.

Jenas had a decent shot there in the first 45 (I think that's when it was), but other than that was non-existent. Bassong was not up to his usual level, but I think he may (understandably) be a little downhearted about being left out Cameroon's squad. Palacios just looks disinterested lately. I can understand he's had a tough year, but perhaps a break wouldn't be terrible for him.

Was a little confused about Kranjcar coming off for Modric. Felt we were lacking going forward, and would have liked to see Palacios come off. Oh well, can't change anything now. Time to get prepared for West Ham. Come On You SPURS!!

Gomes is class and is one of the best in the league.Crouch I still dont like cause the long ball thing just doesnt work when most of the CB are 6f 3 plus.

The draw was well expected, same as Cheat$kis draw at Brum, which both made me earn a few quid at the betting office today.

I hate to say this, but I'm happy with a point. Mainly because if it wasnt for Gomes, we wouldnt have even got that.

We're hollow at the moment. Nothing in midfield.
Lock down the flanks and you've pretty much neutralised our threat.
Teams seem to be learning how to deal with Lennon, and we dont have any depth in the middle of the park.

We need a new CM in the transfer window. I'd like someone creative, and if we got rid of Jenas, then bring defensive midfielder in. I really think we could do with Jamie O'Hara back though.

Also, ship Keane out. How many chances is he going to get to show he can play anything like he used to be capable of? I understand that a lot of his game is down to creating space off the ball for other players, so he wont see as much of the ball. However, his running wasnt really creating any chances for us, so he wasnt even doing that well.

Big G won us a point today.

We looked lackluster up front imo and I have siad this before that against a well organised defence JD aint all that.

He Lennon and Kranj need to be on fire to rip organised sides apart or we run out of options big time.

      Good point earned imo.

This was pretty much a result you could see coming from a far ways off. Fulham have been in great form and playing at CC makes it much tougher. Overall, didn't think we played very well but to keep a clean sheet after the number of chances they had says a lot about the class of Gomes and the persistence of Daws and Bass. They couldve softened after one of Fulhams strikes on goal but they stayed disciplined and did pretty well considering the environment they were in. Both bads and goods around the side:

Gomes- Absolute stud. This guy is proving why he is one of the best keepers in the prem. His shot-stopping is world class and I think we was a better communicator today. He appeared to be on the same page with his defenders for the most part

Corluka- As always, solid defensively. He gave the ball away a couple times but overall I thought he played fine, his normal self.

Dawson- Continues to get the job done. It might not have been pretty today but a clean sheet is a clean sheet

Bassong- Zamora's strength looked to be a bit of a problem but credit to Bass for not letting Zamora get to him. Again, as with Dawson, wasnt always pretty but in the end got the job done

BAE- Another good performance from Benoit. One thing i have noticed is he has some serious skills on the ball. Even when he is pressured he stays calm and clears the ball or makes the right pass.

Lennon- Didn't see much of the ball today. Put some nice crosses in when he did have it but mostly a non-factor

Jenas- I don't get why he is a starter for this squad. He gives the ball away too easily, doesnt play defense, and rarely gets into attack. That begs the question: What the fook is he doing during the whole game? We really missed Hudd in there simply because Jenas can't fookin pass. He's just so frustrating to watch.

Palacios- I think Wilson is getting back to his normal self. He made several key tackles and won several balls in the air. His passing isnt stellar but when partnered with hudd that doesnt matter quite as much. However, Jenas makes Palacios look worse simply because he can't pass either. Palacios needs to play in the middle with a good passer, otherwise the central midfield is lacking a very important quality. Overall, though, good game from Wilson....he'll be back in top form on monday.

Kranjcar- Quiet but still had a pretty solid game. Didn't make any huge mistakes, yet didnt dazzle either. Still needs to be starting every game IMO.

Crouch- Thought he actually played a pretty good game. He was the only guy on our side who looked like he could score. He's winning a lot of headers and has good control with his feet. That goal that was blown off was a very very nice finish. If Defoe had started the game I'm nearly positive we would have scored

Keane- It's sad to see your club captain like this. It's like watching a family member getting old and sick. He is no longer threatening on the pitch and doesn't appear ot motivate the side like Dawson does. It's sad because Keane has been such an important player for this club and is a Yiddo through and through (even with that slip up at liverpool). He needs to be put on the bench or sold. I just dont think he has much value to our side anymore.

Still nice to get a point. Now lets go out on monday and kick the fookin sh*t outa the spammers!

Thanks for the rundown as I was unable to watch the game(Wish espn2 would put on Tottenham again)! Noticed you skipped a report on Palacios though.

Can't complain with a draw. Neither Fulham or ourselves exactly played well well, but neither played poor. Both had chances to win and both keepers probably earnt both teams a deserved point each.

Could be better, could be worse. Aslong as we beat the wonkers from Upton Park - I think we can call it an alright Christmas!

no team today deserved to win that outright, gomes was awesome, and in seasons gone bye we have lost games like that, so i suppose on reflection happy enough with the point, but theres just something niggling away inside me saying we should win games like that, maybe its because i fancied us to nick the 3 points today.

      happy with the point.

      would have loved three!!!.
