Pisses me off how people can be so fooking ignorant. So glad we don't have ****head supporters like theres.
Im know that lennon is said to be doubtful for this game but for the ballance of the team it would be great for him to be fit for this match, i dont remember his initial injury even being bad? He didnt go off did he? it was just reported after the match.
I'd go for this if lennon is absent:
walker---Kaboul--King--Benny
-----------Parker------------
-------Sandro------Modric---
---VDV------------------Bale
--------------Ade-----------
My only downside to this, is that vdv comes central and we end up with 4 in the centre getting into eachothers way, playing silly lil passes and it makes us predictable, easy to pick up and they know we look to get bale off down the left. VDV needs to stay more advanced, theres no use him dropping back and doing luka's job. I also put sandro as the box to box rather than the sitter as i think that he make fantastic run through the middle and into the box, he is very powerful and tough to stop. His pressing onto gerrard, adam will also be important. Ade need to step up his game, he has still contributed but he hasnt really looked dominant or in control of a cb in a long time now. I want to see him making runs (ONSIDE) dragging there cb's all over the place to create space for others.
Niko is also a great option in this game, his ball retention is great and so too is his link up with luka and vdv. His fitness is getting there and it might just be the right time to give him a run in the side and who knows, he's due a goal anytime now and wouldnt put it past him to be the matchwinner.
Manure rarely drop points and my ideal situation would be for us to win at anfield and for chelsea to win. Then again from an objective viewpoint given present injuries we will drop points at anfied (unless one of these 3 ,ade, defoe and vd return)and chelsea will also drop points.
Habing lennon on the wing would add so much more balance to the team especially at anfield we often get jumbled in the middle when van der varrts drops deep. But lennon makes us so much more unpredictable he also scored the winner two years ago at the lane.
Prediction: Louis Saha to come on 75th minute to seal the win 1-2
"hope you lads can give and take a little banter", yeah sure (LFC fan here).
Where to start, well seeing as you brought up our "old old history" so many times I can only conclude that envy is in the eye of the beholder, and it's an ugly trait. Never the less I shall reply in kind about your history: Have you ever seen Tottenham win the league? With that said, we could always measure up a trophy count over the more recent last decade? Enough of the history, you seem pretty well versed on OURS.
I detected the sarcasm in your post re our Carling cup final, the last trophy you won in 2008 before quickly sacking Ramos was it? Funny thing this, Spurs managers, you do seem to go through them don't you - Newcastle of the sarf! When I lived darn sarf years back I was unfortunate to see Spurs play a few times, I think it was when Gross was your manager, perhaps Graham, Francis, Pleat - f.uck it there's been so many it's a bit of a blur as you tend to go through managers as much as women go through PMS, it's a tad hard to recall who was your manager at the time. Alas, I digress, during these 'mediocre' years when I frequented the s.hit hole of Tottenham (and you have the audacity to berate Liverpool the City, lol), your fans were, and probably still are the most ficklest of [s]supporters[/s] match goers I've ever seen - hence why you probably changed managers more times than George Micheal changed his love of genders. Yet, even though you slaughtered your players and managers at every given opportunity, your reality of your team was well and truly in check, thus, you could have a decent chat and a pint with your mob.
Fast forward to present day - where you've become the Newcastle of the 90's (a brief flash in the pan side) who hasn't sustained the heights of their league position for a given length of time to make them the 'big boys'; and the "delusions of grandeur" as the OP stated about LFC fans, certainly has an air of irony about it. The arrogance among Spurs fans these days are truly remarkable, and though you are playing some pretty football and have been a very good side this year especially, you do come across as a bunch of condescending tw@ts. Given where you've come from, mediocrity, I was fooled into thinking you could be more humble about this.
A-N-Y-W-A-Y
The mighty reds to win Monday night, Spurs humbled by a sleeping giant and Rosie 47 looks much like her owner.
A spurs fan walks past a shop and sees a video called "Tottenham - the glory years" for sale for £100. He asks the assistant "Why is it so expensive?" She says " The video's only a tenner, but the Betamax video player costs £90!"
Looks like we've got a grandfather clause fan here (you know, the ones who have the fooked up logic of "we were better than you throughout our history so we have to be better than you for ever")
And you call us condescending... I for sure respect your team and it's hard to pick up points at Anfield. Sure there are some guys dumping on LFC but many less than ones dumping on THFC on RAWK.
i think the misunderstanding and clarity lies in the verb /to be/
we 'are' good
they 'were' good
we just need to teach that little error in grammar
