Im know that lennon is said to be doubtful for this game but for the ballance of the team it would be great for him to be fit for this match, i dont remember his initial injury even being bad? He didnt go off did he? it was just reported after the match.

My only downside to this, is that vdv comes central and we end up with 4 in the centre getting into eachothers way, playing silly lil passes and it makes us predictable, easy to pick up and they know we look to get bale off down the left. VDV needs to stay more advanced, theres no use him dropping back and doing luka's job. I also put sandro as the box to box rather than the sitter as i think that he make fantastic run through the middle and into the box, he is very powerful and tough to stop. His pressing onto gerrard, adam will also be important. Ade need to step up his game, he has still contributed but he hasnt really looked dominant or in control of a cb in a long time now. I want to see him making runs (ONSIDE) dragging there cb's all over the place to create space for others.

Niko is also a great option in this game, his ball retention is great and so too is his link up with luka and vdv. His fitness is getting there and it might just be the right time to give him a run in the side and who knows, he's due a goal anytime now and wouldnt put it past him to be the matchwinner.

Manure rarely drop points and my ideal situation would be for us to win at anfield and for chelsea to win.Then again from an objective viewpoint given present injuries we will drop points at anfied (unless one of these 3 ,ade,defoe and vd return)and chelsea will also drop points.

Habing lennon on the wing would add so much more balance to the team especially at anfield we often get jumbled in the middle when van der varrts drops deep. But lennon makes us so much more unpredictable he also scored the winner two years ago at the lane.

I've checked the records and that was the easiest 3 points we've had all season (or in the history of all football ever). At the time, things weren't looking very good for us, and walking all over you was the boost we needed. It was the first time we got to sing "can we play you every week" to a team with such a long and prestigious ancient history.

On a more amicable note, congrats on your total domination of all things Manachester recently and getting to a Final.... oh happy days indeed, let me know if you need directions, the whole area down there has changed recently. Carling Cup Glory - I think its what analysts call a healthy return on investment. Well done.

Your poll at the top of the thread asks will "the Spuds break fortress anfield"... humm fortress. Your home win %age is 36% (ours 75%). We have the second best away record in the land, you have the 8th best home record. Fortress, not very, but hey, my son stacks a few pillows next to a chair and covers it with his blanket and calls it a fortress so i guess the word has a broad definition.

Im looking forward to the game, as a life long Spud, its games like this that really get the blood pumping, seeing our little Spurs match the great names of Liverpool is what its all about, Johnson, Henderson, Downing, Adam, Carroll. Legends! Names that strike fear into any opponent. When you look at what these players cost (i mean are worth), its goose pimples to think they are up against our internal-developed-youth bargain-bucket-loanee over-40 semi-knackered Real-Madrid-rejected group. And to think of the kind of money you can pay your super stars and we are still trapped by our typical mid table team wage structure based on our sound financial position and the long term health of the club. If only we had a rich American businessman that would treat us to new bright and shiny things form time to time but never really doing enough to allow us to move out of our shitty neighborhood. ( Oh hold on, I just made you sound like a cheap hooker in an airport hotel taking it up the poopy... im sorry, it came out wrong).

Mid table Spurs playing in that magic old stadium, exciting - its a big day out for us...... you've had centuries of success there and I hope you have many many more centuries there of football, in that old old magic old stadium with all its old old history of magic and oldness. You will be able to play there forevermore with all that old old heritage, it must be good knowing that whatever happens to all the other clubs, you will always be able to have all that old old history at Anfield and it will never go away, there forever.
