I am of the firm belief that challenging the Top 4 is the main goal this season. but having spent my whole childhood idolising the FA Cup and viewing it as inferior only to the World Cup I cannot bring myself to want us to take it lightly. I expect changes but not too many. Niko & Pienaar to play for me & get some more minutes/match fitness etc. Actually thought Pienaar looked pretty good against City so hopefully they can despatch a struggling Watford.

@ javi can't wait for pienaar to prove you wrong,like I said my homeboy is fit again and all will be shown how a good a player he is soon enough,hopefully in a spurs shirt(read he wants to hold talks with spurs chiefs over alleged 6m price tag)

Kind of sad that we've sent Falque out on loan and won't see him for this one, though surely the loan will pay off overall. Let's just put Pav and Gio in the shop window and get them shipped out as soon as the final whistle blows.

@BigDub i was thinking about Falque too lol. But you're absolutely right, 15+ games in the championship will be of more use to the lad than 2 to 3 more in the FA cup plus a few reserve or spurs XI games.

Read on the ITV football website that Pav had his contract extended to June 2013 a couple of months back...this may well be common knowledge, but I didn't know...

We had the option to extend the contract by 1 year if we wanted to so have used that option but I think it is mainly so we can try and squeeze some extra pennies out of potential buyers.
