we got it thats the most imp ..but we need to play much better against city

We played well but we have a set of strikers at the moment who can't score goals! Hope they get that right on Wednesday .....
6-6 that's all it take ............... COYS
Edit - With today's results a draw at City and a win will do it .....

least goals conceded at home for 2 seasons straight now lads.. get in..
shitty performance...but its a win...team play 0
That'll do nicely.
I really didnt care how we did it, I just wanted 3 points, and we got that.
Should have been more though.
Actually if it wasnt for Gomes and King, it could have finished differently. Although I only saw the second half, I thought King's reading of the game was brilliant. He was a step ahead of the Bolton strikers throughout what I saw. Plus, that save Gomes made from that volley was top-class.
We do need to play better then that in the next couple of games, but for now I'm just delighted we're still in the driving seat going into the game against Man City.
Evening all!
Bloody hell that was tense stuff, wasn't it? I don't think I breathed out for the entire second half.
Surely today was the final proof that Pav and Defoe shouldn't play together. Criticise Crouch's goal-scoring record all you like but the ball tends to stick to him; the starting front two couldn't hold on to the ball for love nor money, constantly ceding possession to Bolton and giving no time for the midfield to push up behind them.
I thought Bentley played pretty well today, as did Kaboul and the two CBs, but Benny's a shade of the player he showed he could be earlier this season, sadly.
Nice to see Lennon back, though, and is it just me that thinks Gomes isn't quite as hurt as he made out, the scamp...? Or am I just wishing that to be true?
i dont care how we win ,as long as we win.i know that goes against everything spurs stands for,but fook it i dont care if we play like bolton as long as we get 3 points from here in
we got the 3 points, that's the main thing against a tough, dogged side like bolton, but if we play like that against city we'll get found out big time, simples
even if eidur had stuck that chance away at the end i'd be more satisfied, city now have a better goal difference than us and if we could put more chances away it would be like an extra point for us
i would like to see some changes for wednesday, palacios for modric, lennon for bentley and gudjohnsen for pavlyuchenko
palacios for pure tactical reasons, we will need to break up city's possession what with their extra man in midfield, we should let him hassle and harry and break up their play, he will have extra energy levels having only played 90 mins in 3 weeks and with no suspension rule anymore we should let him off the leash
bentley was poor today, took too much out of the ball and slowed down counter attacks, with city's weak defence bale and lennon on both sides would put the fear of god into them
eidur is key on wednesday night, he can sit in deep and cancel out city's numerical advantage in midfield, and when we are on the ball can create chances for JD & co, he is a clever, cleve player we can utilize to our advantage

i watched city today ,and they are there for the taking.they are a shambles at the back and even city fans where cheering every touch dunne had for villa.that game today could have easily gone villas way if they had of converted their chances, but city took theirs in th second half.roll on wed, i believe we can do them big time looking at them today
Just saw extended highlights of ours and city's games yesterday and I agree City were poor but sadly still managed to get the 3 points. As long as we turn up and play to our potential then we have a great chance.
