note to harry if you play pav we have someone who can score penalties c.o.ys.
I dont even know where to start with this one;
Always expect a tough match when we play Bolton, and it always seems tougher when we play at the Reebok. Our bogey team perhaps?
It was nice the missus got up to watch the match though. After the build up to the Bolton goal, I couln't help but laugh when she said "Saw that one coming." Sounds like a few other Spurs fans I know...
The first half showed what we lacked, and that's the pace of Aaron Lennon. Lets face it, we've won once (against Leeds in the FA Cup) since Azza's been sidelined, and our goals have dried up as well. Dont get me wrong, Modric is brilliant, but I think that Azza's definitely been our "spark" player this year, he brings that little something on to the pitch, and I'm hoping he'll be back soon to pull us out of this blip on the radar. Bolton's had their tails up from the get go, and we must have played at least 35 mins of 45 with the ball in our half of the pitch; must admit, wouldn't have been surprised if Bolton were up 3 - 0 at the break, lucky for us Elmander couldn't hit the side of the barn from 6 yards out. I was also a bit disappointed with Daws and Ledders both, maybe the fact that Capello as watching the match got to them a bit.
But what I love about 'Arry is half time talks. I bet whenever we're losing, 'Arry locks the door, and tells the lads he'll stick their boots someplace where the sun don't shine if they don't shape up. It certainly seemed like it because we looked better in the second half.
As I said, I'm always nervous about Bolton away, and for me, I'm satisfied with how we played i the second half, and got the return leg to the Lane (it makes the taska little bit easier) .
My primary concern for now though is penalties. I won't hide my feelings on it; Thudd's penalty today as awful, it was as bad as Defoe's have been; again, maybe the pressure of having a certain pair of Italian eyes on him made cock up. So thats... 7 penalties we've missed (in a row even maybe?) We need to find a new spot kicker and fast, perhaps Niko or Luka (I guess Luka since he seems to be getting a bit more first team action).
PS: Anyone else see Thudd go down? Don't see that to often, Thdd coming out the worse from a challenge.
