Thread: southend united

I worked there for about 4 months just a few years ago and really enjoyed it, never got the chance to go and see a game there but I was often in and around Roots Hall area.

I grew up in a little town near Southend but never really followed them when I was younger - I just cared about Spurs. I moved to south London when I was 20 and since then started to follow Palace, getting to the odd game. If I moved back to Southend I'd probably follow them a bit nowadays, but I do watch out for their results and whatnot. Shame about the position they're in. I'm not sure about the proposed new stadium either (although I suppose that's been shelved). It looked like it was going to be out in the fields somewhere outside of town.
