Personally I think nationality shouldn't matter; I look at Portugal's case: for 6 years we had a Brazilian manager who took us to some of our best results ever; now with a Portuguese coach we barely managed to qualify...
I would much rather us with one than without one, and wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if they introduced a new rule saying managers could only take charge of their own national team.
I'll still support whoever is in charge, but feel it would be that much sweeter if we were to win something with an English manager.
