Good list, I'd add Conor Doyle of Derby too-he's been scoring goals in bunches for the U-20s. Think there might be a nationality conflict with either Ireland or Northern Ireland with him, though
Some highlights from the USYNT....
Agreed, we haven't had that player since Reyna around 2002, and even he wasn't the sort to take on defenders, at least not at the international level. Not to perpetuate stereotypes or anything, but in the long term I hope the development of true ball players will be one of the many happy effects (for football and otherwise) of the influx of Latino immigrants into our country in the last 20 years. That is, if the USSF system doesn't coach it out of them.
It's a fact though, players coming from Latino families are steered toward playing football while other American households don't. I'm no sociology expert, so I don't really know how to fix that and have it compatible with traditional American athletic development. I think it could be done though. If someone could get the message through of the great opportunity football can provide compared to other sports like A. Football, Baseball, Basketball etc. we could see a shift in attitude towards the game. You don't have to be the elite of the elite to have a lucrative career in football. While with most American sports your options for a professional career are rather limited.
As for these kids, I'm really diggin' the coach Wilmer Cabrera. We need more former pros like him in the system. I hope he's going to be in the frame for the U-20's job after this tournament.
Thoughts on the 1-0 win over Panama? Predictions/thoughts for the upcoming finals? (Apologies if this should have been posted in the Gold Cup thread...wasnt sure which was best...)

Surprised at Freddy's successful return, but the fact is that as a team we were absolutely dire for about 70 minutes. Agudelo was overmatched in the front, and Dempsey disappeared as he often does in the midfield. They managed to keep Cherundolo and Lichaj pinned back through their pace, which kept us too narrow to really stretch them. As someone, I think it was @BlueCrew LA said when the roster was released, we need Charlie Davies in the squad. I did think that Jones was great though. Mexico will be a tough ask for us on current form tbh.
After looking at both Mexico and the US were gonna have A LONG final more than likely. Look forward to it tho.

I could only watch this game for a little while but I was seriously unimpressed with the USA , it must've been an off night ?
Have to agree with Javi . . . could be quite a challenge in the final, Mex has been scoring with a frenzy and not letting many past Talavera.
