Jermain Defoe
Michael Owen
Peter Crouch
Emile Heskey
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Carlton Cole
Me and a mate were argueing about who should partner Rooney up front in the upcoming world cup
i went for the tottenham boys and said either defoe or crouch
but should we have a big man (target) man to partner rooney or go with defoe?
idk so, lets see what you all say.

although i prefer defoe i just think that with his record crouch is the man tbh, his goal return for england is to good to ignore imho.
it is better to fail aiming high, than to succeed aiming low,
and we spurs fans have set our sites very high,
so high in fact that even failure will have in it
an echo of glory.
yeah, i went with crouch in the end.
though i hate watching the guy, he shows up for England and puts the ball in the net

Not only do I believe it WILL be Crouch, but I also believe it SHOULD be Crouch. His goal record speaks for itself. He looked great the other night and seemingly always does when he plays. I just have this guy feeling that Capello will pick him. He is like Heskey, except he actually scores! This makes me very happy as I am a huge fan of Crouchy's....just cant wait to see the robot dance again!

i dont think hes a thing like heskey. heskeys your old fashioned no.9, bulldozer, strong, quick, physical, good in the air. crouch is nothing of the sort. this is where i think he catches NT defenders cold a bit. hes not the player he looks like he ought to be.
i reckon wazza could do a job on his own for england now, but if i was to choose somebody to partner him its heskey.
Can't smile without you
I was more referring to the role that each play in the team (i.e. as a target man forward). I agree with everything else you said. The point I was trying to make was that Crouch is a target man who scores. Unlike Heskey who is a target man that does not.

Crouch will get the nod untill he runs out of steam and then eithe rhim or Roonaldo will be withdrawn for Defoe.
Stevie G behind Rooney for me then Azza right and james Milner left. Defoe and Crouch really good impact subs
Gotta be crouch if goal scoring records are a anything to go by tho I reckon capello will probably stick with heskey, tho Rooney on his own with gerrard or lampard just behind would be an option too.
Oh - you want me to watch my mouth, how?
Take my ****in eyeballs out, and turn em around?
Who ever is picking Crouch must be having a Laugh.

Look at his goal record and performance for England. You make this comment solely based on the fact that you don't think he is any good for Spurs. His game for England is another story. He is an asset to the side and that is why he will start for them. He is a target man who scores goals....Heskey doesn't

You missed out the 'don't care' buton in the vote!![]()
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
Jermain Defoe.
If anyone votes Emile Heskey they need there head examined.... this donkey should be no where near a England team!!!
and if anyone really thinks Owen & Heskey should be infront of our spurs players then your bloody mad!!!!
My favourite spurs player!
