I have read that the Spurs will sign a Asier Riesgo, goalkeeper of Real Sociedad (my team in Spain)
Asier plays in the under-21 of Spain and is a good goalkeeper, he was on loan at Recreativo last year and was the best oh the team.
The worst is the meaning in Spanish of his name ... Riesgo=risk![]()
Lol Deivid not a great name risk. nice too meet you my friend
it says on SSN we are getting him on trial
Real Sociedad de Fútbol
the news on the official site...it´s in spanish...sorry
Translation...more or less
Asier Riesgo train next week with Tottenham Hotspur in London. The English club has contacted the Real Sociedad in the sense that might be interested in a transfer of the player for the remainder of this season. Before making a final decision, the London club has asked the player's presence in your workouts during the week, something very common in England.
Real Sociedad, in consultation with the technicians and the player himself, has granted permission to Asier Riesgo fit to train with the Spurs during the week. The terms and conditions of the hypothetical assignment have not yet been agreed between the clubs
looks like a good prospect think i would rather have loach from watford thou ?
Seems like he'd be good cover for Gomes, if it's a low cost deal i dont think theres too much Riesgo attached
I'm here all week![]()
This keeper is actually a really good one. I'd place him with the top 5 in Spain for his Liga performances the past two years, he'd always give Sociedad or Recreativo a chance.
I'd place him alongside Diego Lopez, Casillas and Moya as the most consistent in Spain. And that was long before he was ever linked to Spurs.
Diego Lopez is the perfect keeper for the Premier League
sorry, but english not is my strong point...
I think that the level of Spanish keepers is really high but besides I think for play in the Premier must be tall, Diego Lopez is among the few in Spain that is good in the air, besides he´s very good on penalties and a very safe keeper.
The problem of Riesgo in England will be the corners and lateral faults .. (which is not like Spain)
