I know we Croats but in our media after Dinamos victory against Anderlecht Lovren is conected to a transfer in Tottenham for 6 mil.

In that game he almost totally neutralized Lukaku and was the best player in Dinamo.

I dont think Tottenha is in a need for him but if on of our centrl defenders goes he is a good solution. His good sides are tackling and he is probably a more inteligent player than Dawson and Bassong are but they are stronger.

he is a truly great prospect, he has been mentioned as one of croatias next top defense player since he was like 14 or so, with 15 or 16 he won the best player award at a under17 club tournament iirc
and today there is no doubt that he is croatias next first choice cb (alongside vida another hot prospect)

but i really think tottenham should use the influence of modric corluka and kranjcar and try to bring in at least one of dinamos talented youth players, there are at least 5 really great prospects there antolic, badelj, tomecak, lovren, kramaric

according to croatian newspaper vecernji list (quite realiable source, definately not something like the sun, but also not the times) tottenham has made an official offer for dejan lovren (6mil), the player wants to join, and zdravko mamic would be willing to sell IF dinamo fail to advance from europa league group stage

would be great if this happens, a very good young and promising centre back, likes the physical game of the premier league, is willing to learn, very good cover and backup and he has the potenital to become first choice cb very very soon

Could be a good shout, but I'd rather we got in a CB with more experience. If we're buying a CB, we need someone who can slot straight into the team in my opinion.

Actually, we've been talking about getting a young striker to replace Pav. I'd love us to punt for Lukaku.

If you're good enough, you're old enough. Still, I'd rather we brought in someone like Upson. We're linked with every up and coming & 1 good season CB going. Upson is no nonsense, consistent, and is already suited to the Prem. Will also be on the cheap due to the spammers crippling debt.

Can't go wrong with Matty Upson, would add experience and certainly sure things up at the back, i'd be very pleased with him. I think Shawcross would be brilliant too, but i think he might have signed a new deal with Stoke recently (don't quote me on that)

This young fella Lovren looks worth looking at though, if 'Arry likes what he sees i wouldn't protest!

And about that Lukaku... don't know where i've been but i'd never heard of him until now. Wow he looks something special. If his potential translates into ability, thats one hell of a player. I expect him at Real Madrid soon enough..

I`ve seen Lukaku against Dinamo, and my god what kind of a monster is that. That kid cannot be 16 years old. FFS he is 192cm tall and weights 94kg. Bloody hell. His upper body strenght is unreal. Don`t take this the wrong way, bit I doubt he is 16. Either he is using/used some "substances".
His technique is not top notch, neither is understanding of the game, but physically...

Maybe he's just naturally a bit of a beast? And he was born and raised in Belgium, as far as i'm aware... wouldn't it be a tad difficult to fake an age?

That kinda age faking happens now and again in Africa, but I doubt it would happen in Belgium.

I knew a kid in school who was 6'2" and built like a tank at 15. Sometimes these kids just develop early I guess.
