Brazilian striker Welliton has revealed he would be interested in a move to Tottenham.
Reports in Russia have claimed Spartak Moscow are keen on bringing unsettled Spurs forward Roman Pavlyuchenko back to the club and could use Welliton as part of the deal.

I like him quite a lot and I think he'd be a great option up top. Yes please from me.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
He looks like a very good player, but I'd still rather we sold Pavlyuchenko for straight cash, and used the money to reinforce our central midfield.
Giovani dos Santos can provide 4th striker cover.

Agreed dancubus, lets get money for Pav to put toward a MF option. Worst case scenario we play with Crouch, Defoe, Keane, and Rose or Gio as our strike options. Does Obika come back from loan in January (that's assuming he's actually out on loan...)?
Yeah, Obika's out on loan at Yeovil. I think we have the option of recalling him whenever we like too, dont quote me on that though.
With us only being in the FA Cup and the League, I think Defoe, Keane, Crouch, and Gio as backup would be fine.
In all honesty, if it meant us getting in some real midfield quality, I'd rather have just 3 strikers then the midfield we've got.
Sorry to shot this down but i've read his interview where he mentioned Tottenaham I never would have thought anyone could have spinned it like the yellow tabloid sport journalists did.
All he said was: Given the chance I would like to play in top club one day and. He gave Pavlyuchenko as an example that its possible to move to a big club in, England for example, from Spartak.
Bottom line he is now key player and I reckon his price tag would be higher than was paid for Pavlyuchenko.
I can't see how Welliton would go on record to say that he wants to join Spurs and even if it were true, it seems like he wants to use us as a spring board like Berbetov did.
Unlikely to happen.
@Hidden
I'll trust that you've seen him more than i have(I've only seen him in the champion's league). I thought he looked pretty good in most of those games.
19 goals last season isn't bad, though i don't know much about the russian league. How is the quality? Physical? Athletic? Quick?
EDIT: 19 goals in 25 games
I love certain things that come from argentina, one in particular.
I honestly haven't seen Welliton in any matches, all I know is that his good in FM
But I can really see him arrive at WHL, but only if they trade Pav for him. Otherwise no.
Edit: This season he has made 6 appearance and scored 1 goal.
But then again good record from the other seasons.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
his problem is that he scored only 2 goals in 19 european appearances in 5 years. can't say this is only his fault as spartak looks pretty shit in last years, but you should keep in mind that statistics
he was russian's best goal scorer for two last years (with 21 and 19 goals accordingly)
The quality is so that in each matchday there is at least one sold match or referee.
Considering football aspects I can say that the league is rather average: you need average physical and athletic conditions to pwn, speeds are rather low cauz of shit fields quality in many regions and general style of play. only several matches between moscow teams/zenit can correspond european quality of football and welliton often seems pretty lost during them.
He has also received several injuries during last half of the year.
I don't say he wouldn't be able to reach spurs level as I already saw a similar example of player's career in face of Odemwingie who was much more shiter than Welliton in RPL. And what we saw this year? Peter has already become WBA best striker in EPL history. Lots of people in Russia still don't understand how this could happen and troll him/Lokomotiv.
Considering physical, athletic, speed abilities, controlling the ball and playing in the air Welliton looks better than Defoe v.2010/2011 season. But I would take him only as a reserve variant instead of Pav without adding any money. Falcao, Hulk, Llorente, Aguero, Drogba, Rossi, Neymar etc on a head above him

If this player is good in the air, maybe he or Leandro will be more like the player we would buy, I dont see us spending 30+ million on a player like Hulk, Falcao or Cavani, Welliton or Leandro would be more our type, a player who has not really hit the heights (and who's transfer valuation has not hit the heights) of their football career.
