Roman Pavlyuchenko set to leave Tottenham after nightmare 12 months
Roman Pavlyuchenko has confirmed his departure from Tottenham and will instruct his representatives to meet chief executive Paul Barber this week to organise a transfer in January.
The Russian striker, signed for £14million by Juande Ramos last year, has endured a terrible season, having played just four games for Harry Redknapp, scoring one goal, and having been part of the Russia team knocked out of the World Cup by Slovenia.
'I have never had such a black period in my life,' said Pavlyuchenko. 'Russia's failure was a continuation of a catastrophic 2009. I only sit on the bench for my club and now it did not work for the national team, either.
'I can only hope that January will bring changes in my life. Naturally, I mean moving clubs. My agents are coming to London this week to negotiate it.'
The only question is whether former club Spartak Moscow can afford to take him home or whether former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri will take a chance on him at Roma

Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
He can't even say black period in English the lazy fvck. He will not be missed for all his *****ing and moaning, plenty of other players in clubs around the world had it tougher and fought their way into the sides.
I WAS a fan in the beginning and I WAS willing to give him a chance...however in a very short space of time his mouthy agent and his shocking attitude has really soured him and I can't wait to see him gone.
Nothings Forgotten, Nothing is ever forgotten
he has had his chance, ****ed it up, like bentley, now he has to go imo
I was a huge fan of Pav but the last couple months have really changed my opinion of him. I do think he is a good player and I hope we sell him outside of the prem so that he doesnt come back and kill us down the road. It is clear to me that Crouch Defoe and even Keane are more valuable to this club than Pav. I do wish him well but wont miss him at Spurs. His whining got old.
All I will say is Ramos brought him to the Lane. That says it all!
Had his chances with brilliant support at the Lane but has done very little in return.
WE'RE THE PARK LANE
WE ARE N17
I doubt if he will ever get the support at any other club that our fans gave him...just for warming up but I wish him well but not in the prem please Mr. Levy
Swannydownthelane.....great times,great memories
Come On You SPURS
Took the words right off my keyboard, '82. I think Bentley's attitude this season is highly commendable.
I feel for Pava a little bit. Toward the end of last season he was stuck on the bench also but his attitude was spot on, excellent even, & I think that is why so many fans really warmed to him.
In pre-season he looked excellent & his attitude was again brilliant, cancelling flights out to play for Russia so that he could turn out for Spurs in a friendly. However, after all that & despite looking, imo, amongst our sharpest 2 strikers in pre-season, he still got nowhere near a starting place. He got his chance again in the CC against Doncaster & he did very well again, taking his goal &, despite only getting about 10min in the Premier League to show what he could do, he set up a match winner against Birmingham & STILL he has been ignored.
Enough is enough for him & I really cannot blame him honestly. I wish he would stop talking about it tho, it won't make January come any faster. However, he spent 10 months saying how it is up to him, he has to prove he deserves to start, he loves Spurs & wants to fight for his place etc, etc & he has spent less than 2 months saying he has had enough & wants out.
I really do sympathesise but it is never good seeing a supposed proper professional, taking the wages that he does, simply give up. I understand that he feels that he has done everything he can, put himself above the other strikers in terms of fitness & form & has not even had a look in but he could learn a lot from Bentley, a player who did the opposite & did about everything possible NOT to get picked but has since got his attitude perfect, has left his fate in Harry's hands, trusted in his own ability & that his time will come & when he has had his chances, he has taken them & the whole time Bentley has not even made a whisper of discontent.

spot-on on Pav. He will do well outside the Prem. Roma would be good for him..
