According to the Daily Mirror today we want to sign Richards in the January transfer window. He is not getting a game a Man City at the moment and is reportedly unsettled. With him playing regular football and increasing in confidence, we would be a fantastic signing and a possible long term replacement for Ledley.
Would anyone else be happy with this signing?
yes please
If you believed the media hype about him when he first came about he was meant to be the next best thing.
He is a strong quick player capable of out muscling players but I don't think he is to clever on the ball and lacks a footballing brain which causes him to make silly errors. There are reasons Hughes don't play him.
If he is cheap then I'd take a gamble.
He has never fulfilled his potential at City and could be a good buy at the right price, however Arry seems to prefer Anton Ferdinand who would be a much cheaper option, I personally have doubts about both players ability however with Arry's track record of picking up bargains who knows what he has in mind as when he talks about any player he never gives anything away, he always says of a player " Triffic lad, real pro, always works hard in training, great skill" etc etc.

He could well be worth the effort.
Goal.com states this could happen if we offload Alan Hutton, who is reportedly wanted by Everton. I wouldn't mind that swich tbh.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
100% yes!!
Harry could be the man the get his career back on track
Can't smile without you
I would rather have Richards over that donkey Ferdinand, dont rate that guy at all. I think Richards would blossom under Arry as he is alot more experienced then Hughes is and knows how to get the best out of his players.... Look how well Ekotto has done under Arry.
Yes, yes, and double yes.
In response to berby999's comments - I'm sure King Ledley could teach the kid a few things to prevent the errors he has committed in the past.
no thanks, not keen
to be honest id rather go for onoucha their other youth centerback. a LOT more consistant than richards and a lot cheaper as well
I reckon we are well covered in that position

Deffo not future cover for Ledley, I think we already have that in Bassong. For a start, Ledley (& Bassong) is a left-sided (left-footed) CB/LB whereas Micah is right-sided. Anyway, I've always preferred Micah as a RB, he reminds ,me a bit of Glen Johnson when playing there, but I think we are reasonably well catered for in that position.
Most of his problems at City are down to mentality rather than lack of ability. I think Micah has been unsettled there for a long time. He has reportedly put on weight, which is 1 reason why Hughes won't play him, but the main reason is if your team has just spent well over £30m on 2 new CBs, who are they going to play?
Micah was 1 of the main people not happy with how City treated Erikkson & I don't think he has ever recovered from that. He is in need of a resh start & he is exactly the sort of player who would flourish if given a second chance at new club, especially under someone like Harry.
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble

So Levy has got let us know

Didn't really know what to make of this, on one hand when he was playing regular for Man City and England he was a quality player, but he was being used as a right back. Not sure about him for a RB seeing as we're all happy with Charlie in there.
As a centre back, he's not really had enough time to prove he's a good centre back.
Wouldn't mind the signing if we offloaded Hutton and King decided to hang up his boots, but face it none of us want that.
English...... 21 years old, Could be a good investment.
great player i think hes as good as bassong , i think hutton isnt cutting it s id liek to have a new rb, plus hed be good cover for cb whe king and wood are injured , it happend to us already this season
