Prefer Gary Cahill myself to be honest. Upson has had a bit of history with injuries and I'd prefer someone younger like Cahill, Shawcross or even Steven Taylor or David Wheater to learn from the likes of Woody and King.

We've been linked with Ezequiel Garay of Real Madrid also.

Garay is being offered around to everyone for about £6m I believe. I don't think United will bite, but I could see us maybe chancing it if we cannot land Upson & the price for Garay starts to drop.

Problem is, Garay is hardly 'experienced'. He's Argentine, has played for big clubs in big competitions, but is young at 23 & is lacking confidence. He is deffo a good player tho & he is someone I could see Harry thinking he could reignite his career at Spurs.

Considering Pepe is out for the season at Real, I doubt Garay will be on the transfer list for much longer.

Yeah Cahill is one of my preffered 3 too, but number 1 for me is Shawcross, think he really is a brilliant defender. Not too sure about Steven Taylor, always had my doubts

It really is a close call between Cahill and Shawcross, and if we get either one I'll be over the moon because I do honestly believe that they will mature to be huge players at CB, and they do look like leader's material as well.
