Ruud van Nistelrooy eyes Premier League return and puts Spurs on red alert | Mail Online
Do we really need a 33 year old striker with dodgy knees?
Ruud van Nistelrooy eyes Premier League return and puts Spurs on red alert
In with a shout: Real Madrid's Ruud Van Nistelrooy could be returning to the Barclays Premier League
Ruud van Nistelrooy's move to Tottenham Hotspur could be back on after the Dutchman hinted he would consider a return to the Barclays Premier League.
The former Manchester United striker is out of contract at Real Madrid at the end of the season and unlikely to be offered a new deal, reports The Sun.
Tottenham came close to signing the Dutchman for just £1million last summer but boss Harry Redknapp would not meet van Nistelrooy's £100,000-a-week wages.
Redknapp, who is looking to offload striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, also had concerns over the 33-year-old's knee injury and pulled out of negotiations.
However van Nistelrooy insists he is fully fit now and a deal could be resurrected if the Dutch international took a pay-off.

A legend at the Lane - yes please...
If Pav goes then Yes, however £90,000 for a Bench Warmer......can you see Harry playing him in front of any other strikers
Providing he stayed injury free (bit of an 'if' though), I'd be happy to have him for £1m.
Defoe's the only one of our strikers that I trust to score goals on a regular basis. I'm fed up with Keane, Pavlyuchenko's very overrated and was a panic buy and Crouch, through no fault of his own, will struggle to hit the net often with the way we look for his head everytime he plays.
RVN is a natural goalscorer, and could really help us for a season and a bit.
Pav would have to leave first mind.
Dawson for skipper!
He will go to le arse.
I want someone with somthing to prove.
Not a has been.
I don't think he will be worth the wages, he is to old for premiership football and his injury record is pretty poor.
Sad thing is he will probley do more than what keane or crouch are doing at the moment.
Sign him up.
He will take a pay cut and he must know that with his injuries not a lot of clubs r gonna take a gamble.
Look wat Harry has done before wiv older players e.g. Kanu. They were quality for him when they came in

Has scored 46 goals in 68 appearances for Real Madrid. Sounds good to me but could be injury prone. Lots of money if he is another Woody and Ledley.
WE'RE THE PARK LANE
WE ARE N17
A 33 year old striker with dodgy knees would have been a typical Harry purchase when he was with Pompey trying to keep a team in the Prem, sadly even with his pedigree surely we can do better than this?

I would stay well clear of him ..demands way to much wages & is injury prone over the last two years it would be a complete waste of money.
Rather we would buy a player with hunger & desire to succeed in the premier someone like Seydou Doumbia would be ideal.
The fact that Pandev could cost the same money, I know who I would prefer. Having said that, it s clear that we need another quality finisher as Defoe can't shoulder all the responsibility on his own. Robbie is supposed to be a goalscorer but he just isn't doint it right now. Playing alongside a player like Goran I think could make Robbie look a LOT better & might see him score a few more (just like how he suddenly looked lethal next to Berbatov).
however, I'm starting to think more & more that Robbie's time is up & I am increasingly wanting to see what Suazo can do. Its his dream to play in Europe & I can tell you 1 thing for sure, if Suazo gets through on goal, the geezer can finish
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old
COYSAFOYS
wouldnt min him, a lot like Owen going to United, adde depth and I wouldnt have minded having him on the bench against wolves
Much better proposition than Crouch or Keane and would work really well with JD.
If they can sort out his wages and a (very big) IF he can stay injury free then i am all bells and whistles.

Get rid of Pavlyuchenko to buy Ruud Van Nisterooly please.
