TAARABT EYES TOTTENHAM EXIT | Football Transfer News, Football News, Fixtures, Results, Match Reports, Stats
Adel Taarabt has confirmed he is still hoping to leave Tottenham as soon as possible after failing to break into their first-team.
The Moroccan playmaker is currently on loan with QPR again and is lighting up the Championship with a number of spectacular goals.
Taarabt remains on a long-term deal at White Hart Lane and believes the Premier League outfit are keen to take that contract even further.
However, after failing to make an impression on Harry Redknapp's first team he is not interested in prolonging his Spurs stay.
"Tottenham would like me to sign a new deal with them but, frankly, I don't fancy going back there now," he told the Evening Gazette.
"I've got two-and-a-half years left with them, but I hope to leave soon."
Swannydownthelane.....great times,great memories
Come On You SPURS
I really hope he doesn't leave. Out of all our young attacking players I rate Taarabt highest and I feel he has the brightest future at the club when compared to the likes of Bostock and Giovani dos Santos.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
**** him then. Ball greedy twat. He can go rot in some foreign league.
I dont blame him for wanting away, at his age he needs to play regualy and i admire the fact he dont want to come back and sit on the bench earning shed loads of cash but would rather take what will probley be less money and play at a lower level week in week out.
Hopefully some kind of deal can be put in place where he will get more playing time after a season developing at Q.P.R.

I think Berby is spot on AJFA. His very young and wants to play why have ago at him for that? The kids got talent and if i was a pro i would want to learn my trade and develope not just sit there waiting for pay day! Sorry mate i dont agree with your comments at all.
My favourite spurs player!
it would be shame to see him go but a young player like him wants to play all the time he doesnt want to sit on the bench i cant blame him i think harrys being unfair to him not just him but theres quite a few players he is being unfair to
He is shining in the Championship but his ability to play in the big boys league is still to be questioned. I trust Arry's judgement on this, I think he's experienced enough to decide whether Taarabt could do a job in the Premiership or it is better to leave him go. Anyway, fair enough from the lad, he just wants to play and fulfill his potential instead of pocketing money and rotting on the bench.
to dare is to do
He is obviously talented, and needs to be pushing himself to improve, but I think at the moment he is doing what he wants in the CCC... he is a league above talent wise.
I hope he stays, but cant see him getting many opportunities.
I'd a hell of a lot rather have players in my organization who were frustrated at their lack of playing time and actually putting in performances, whether in the championship, reserves (well, not anymore I guess) or in cup competitions than to have guys who are content to collect a paycheck.
I would imagine this harps back to the old stuff he said before he went on loan to QPR.
I doubt there is much new news in it, but if he wants to go he will.
I think a few words from Arry will settle the lad down but if he cant do it then we will make a load of cash on him as he is a better player for his loan spell.
I agree with Taarabt, he is too good to be rotting on our bench with no hope in hell of getting a game, same with Pav.
Grow a pair and fight your place here Adel.

Harry wont have his hand forced . 3 Chumpionship goals does not make him a world beater . Lets see what Harry has to say about this statement .
