According to today`s People, they suggest that Roy Hodgson could make an offer for Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, in the January window as the Russian looks more and more likely to leave in the new year.

Fulham, who were beaten to the signature of Peter Crouch in the summer, are again struggling for goals this season and with a squad stretched by European commitments need a reliable goal scorer and Pav seemingly fits the bill.

With the 27 year old, back in his home country for the international week, attention will also turn to clubs in Russia, who would welcome his return and that could be his preferred option over what he may see as a step down of a move to a club with a smaller profile, with no disrespect to Fulham.

I am sure that Harry would want to retain a 4th striker, but whether Pav is the man he wants as that option has always been unclear. Harry sings his praises publicly, but I get the impression that privately the opinion differs.

Yep im almost certain he'll be off too, just isnt going to get oppurtunities here. Not the end of the world, could be a very good player but im sure he's our 4th best striker, and id rather get a younger player in for the future. But i cant see him going to Fulham, i reckon he'll be off to Zenit

^ Yup selling to foolham who before the season started were considered a team we would be scrapping with for points in the league would be folly.

Levy knows that too so dont expect him to go there unless they proppa want him and they have the means to pay well for him.

I'd be very satisfied with that if it were to happen. After that we'd be a Moussa Sissoko short of being a top 4 side imo. If we sign the 2 or 3 players we need in Jan and only let 1 or 2 fringe players go (Jenas and Pav) then i think we can do it. Atm, i think were in line for a nice 6th place finish, either way i wont be complaining with very positive progress

I see what you mean Ire, but i think even at his best hes not *that* good, and i think all at there peak hes our 4th best. I guess its harsh as he hasnt had the oppurtunities, but i dont think we'll miss him too much. I do appreciate he could be a very good player though, and in the right side could be lethal. Darren Bent spring to mind?

Nah he wont be playing us if he goes abroad , we will be play champions league football while he is in the Europa League with Fulham or Zenit

He deserves to be playing regular football. I will be sad to see him go, but he deserves to be let go and start to play some Football.

He has never complained (cough bent cough) about not getting minutes on the pitch. Even though he has only been a Yid for a year, I will always have a soft spot for the big roman!
