Welcome to the lane Jimmy
I saw him in action a few times for the spammers, he will be decent cover and maybe a decent coach in the future

Just an insurance policy, good signing, explains why we loaned out so many young keepers!
Exactly......
Hes near the same age as James, but is quite content to provide cover when need, small wages aswell.
He will also not unsettle Gomes and knock his confidence, we all know what happens then.
It also allows our young keepers, Jansson, Alnwick, Button to play elsewhere and get real match experience
Good decision me thinks

Dumb question, but though the actual window is closed, we can still sign free agents?
Why the fook would we need him.
Gomes is right in 3 weeks or so and we could recall our youth keepers!!!!!!!!!
Crazy imo.
Great move.
An experienced goalkeeper on the bench who will not kick up a fuss, be decent cover and provide the team a lil more depth inn the goalkeeping area.
As said before, the youth goalkeepers can now carry on gettin experience in the lower leagues instead of rotting on the bench.
I wuld ratha have Jimmy Walker than David James, purley coz Walker has no big ego, is not in love with himself and is more than happy just to pick up his money and do a job for the team.
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
not the best signing ever or the worst im content.

Whos this hippy??? never heard of him before.
Agreed ^ i mean if that poxy club west ham let him go then what are we doing in signing him, Button could have done a job on the bench until Gomes is fit again.
He's a good bench warmer and as several people have already pointed out the new 'policy' is no reserve team and young players loaned out to gain experience (and cut wages bill) Better to have our future players gaining experience and some old timer, who in all probability will never play a game for us, as a back up.
“Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.”
I'm baffled by this one. We send ours out on loan and bring this guy in (where has he been anyway?) There must be more to it than what we think.
Does anyone know if he is on a pay as you play deal? or a rolling contract (monthly)
