According to English newspaper the London Times, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are negotiating a deal that would see Marek Jankulovski and Gareth Bale swap clubs.
The Rossoneri are willing to give the Spurs the Czech international plus an additional €5 million for the services of the Welsh starlet during the winter transfer window that opens in January.
The 20-year-old has a boatload of potential and can also play as a left midfielder similar to Jankulovski. The report insists that negotiations are already well advanced.
Bale made 30 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season, but with the excellent form of Benoit Assou-Ekotto he may have a tough time breaking into the starting XI.
Meanwhile, Jankulovski has been a first team member of the Rossoneri since 2005.
AC Milan To Swap Jankulovski For Tottenham Starlet Gareth Bale - Report - Goal.com
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
AC Milan sees Bale as a replacement for Maldini...lets hold on to him and play him on the left now that Modric is injured
Doesn't get me fired up, that one. MJ is not exactly a man for the future, and I'd much rather see Bale or GdS get some chances now.
Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
Swap deals aren't very common at all. I tend to take swap deal rumours with a pinch of salt as they hardly ever come to fruition.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!

Too true, the amount we've been linked with this summer is ridiculous, every other day it was a new swap deal rumour
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
Lets swap our nice new 09 plate motor for a B reg? Nope go away AC....
Oh come on, this is clearly rubbish.
First of all it's a swap deal. If every deal that the press linked us with went through we'd be able to field a different starting XI every match.
Jankulovski is well passed it. I doubt he'd be able to cope with the pace of the prem...
The summer transfer window has only just ended... I doubt we're making deals for the January window straight away. Even if we did, the deal can still go through now and we just wait till January for it to become official...
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
I suppose, but i mean Bale/Maldini.... i think they will need a better defender to replace Maldini! Not that he is possibly replaceable. Bale cant defend for fook, he needs to play left mid.
EDIT.... Levy wouldnt block Jankulovski if Harry wanted him mate, James is a different kettle of fish. There is no doubt who is in control buddy, dont worry bout that! 'Arry wouldnt take no ****
If this ridiculous deal was to go through we would have to slap a very low buy back clause in the contract so when he matures into a Maldiniesqe player we can get him back for 50p, an old copy of Razzle and some pork scratchings.
