10.10 Rumours in Russia are suggesting Spartak Moscow 'keeper Stipe Pletikosa has emerged as a potential replacement for the injured Heurelho Gomes. The Croatian international has fallen down the pecking order at Spartak Moscow and would be available on loan.
I wuld take this guy on loan anyday , from wat i rememba he is a very good goalkeeper.
What helps as well is that Modric and Corluka are here, so they can recommend and help him settle in![]()
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
I dont think he is coming unless he will be in starting 11

it was agreed but pletikosa tore his circuate ligaments this morning
and he will be out for 6 months.
he reportedly fell by himself.
what an unlucky player, he stated numerous times that his dream is to play in england. first time he wasn't given work permit for fulham because he had 72% international games in last 2 years and there was no time to appeal.
and now this![]()
God knows! But "championat.ru" a serious resource.
As far as it is known Stipe do not have any problems with health.
I did not see acknowledgement of this information.
He simply excellent keeper.
In Russia there is a limit on quantity of foreign players in starting 11. It is the unique reason on which Stipe has left starting 11 of Spartak.
Besides it seems to me that the management of Spartak is interested in the best of a condition of continuation of career of Stipe because he has made much for club and there is no his fault in that, that he has lost a place in starting 11.
Maxim, do u no anything of this injury to Pletiklosa?

I think Spurs should have Button as cover...for the sake of English football
Pleticosa has left on half a year
The goalkeeper of Spartak Moscow Stipe Pletikosa on morning training of a command on Friday has torn crosswise sheaves of a knee, informs "Sports TV" correspondent Murad Latipov.
The definitive diagnosis is not known yet, but in such cases restoration occupies a half a year order.
At Valerii Karpin Pletikosa has ceased to get to structure red-white. It was supposed that before closing transfer window the goalkeeper of modular Croatia will get over in English of "Tottenham".
Guys, I will wear apologies.
It is very a pity.
Stipe could be a good variant for Tottenham.

Cudicini is excellent cover imo, a silly signing even if it is on loan.
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
The guy broke his ligaments this morning, like someone said. He`s officially the best keeper in Russia, but is on the bench because of limited foreigners on the pitch issue. His manager rather used foreign full back than a keeper.
But you can forget it now. He`s known to be extremely unlucky and this just proves it. Broke his ligaments on the last training before the loan. FFS? How stupid is that?
Its true. He tore his ACL this morning, and will be out for at least 6 months. Very bad timing and tremendosly bad luck.
Stipe Pletikosa is a better goalkeeper than your Gomes. He would have put Gomes on the bench for foreseable future. The only reason he wasn't a starter at Spartak Moscow is the limit on foreign players in Russian League. Him and Akinfeev were the best goalkeepers in the whole league. He is truly a class goalkeeper, and all fans of Spartak Moscow really appreciate him as a great teamate and even a better player.
I'm sure many will disagree with that. Gomes has a huge advantage over a lot of keepers with the reach he can get. I'm not saying Pletikosa is a bad keeper as I think he is quality, but I can't see anyone taking Gomes no.1 spot if he can maintain his end of last season form.
