Contract is up and the end of the year, Chelski don't want a Sol situation so this could be possible. Arry knows the lad from West Ham and at 27 he has a good five years (if he stays fit) ......
I thought he signed a new 5 year deal earlier in the summer ? If we are in for a left winger still we could do a lot worse than England U21 Adam Johnson from Middlesborough.
Key is if he stays fit as you say. If so, i'd happily pay over £15m for him, if not i'd rather go for someone else.
Adam Johnson is a good shout, always been a fan and he is a very good young player. Hes started on fire too this year (3 goals already i think)
I dont know if he's ready yet, but he is definately going to be a top winger

I dont think this is an Anderton moment going on here = he may be injured atm but you would never get a player of JCs quality for £10 mil if he was fit = so thats where the gamble lies . I think he would walk over hot coals to be under Harry again and would probably sweat blood to play in the CL - i think Chelski have disrespected this world class player and he could very well have a point to prove just to rub that in .
If Bentley cost us £15 mil , then Cole for £10 mil is christmas come early

Cole for 15 is still great business. His talent is undeniable. He would certainly make our midfield even more formidable than it already is.

i would take joe cole in a minute put modric in the middle with palacious cole and lennon on the wings we would have a alsome midfield
This is a bit more than a rumor, meetings have taken place. One of the main issues is that Chelski see Spurs as a credible threat and are reluctant to sell to a title rival (isn't that nice to hear). However last week JC played the "I will stay till the end of the season and leave for free card" he has definitely not signed a new contract yet, the main reason he is still there is Frank Lampard, they have a long history and Frank is pushing for Chelski to offer Joe a new contract. This week will tell here's hoping .......
Where'd you hear that it's more than a rumour?
JC did some promotional work for a Company I worked with here in Thailand. My role was to look after him and his entourage for two days. What goes in Thailand stays in Thailand but fair to say big fun was had by all. The point of this is that I have remain friendly with a couple of his guys, friendly enough to have exchanged e-mails over the last few days.
Still makes this info 'second-hand' but I hope it's fair to say a bit more than a rumor.
