Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is poised to raid former club Portsmouth again and make an offer for David James, as he awaits results of scans to Heurelho Gomes's injury suffered at Hull City last night.

But he will be prepared to give James the Number One slot at White Hart Lane and with the continued uncertainty at Fratton Park, Redknapp is aware of James's unhappiness and is prepared to offer him a chance to escape.

Ave u noticed wen James makes a rli gd save he moans at his defence every fookin time e.g. last nite against Birmingham he shouted afta makin a gd save, "eh, eh, F*KING WAKE UP, eh!"

He luvs himself as well where as our 2 keepers are far from that, they just get on with their business and help team spirit.

James is old and a prick wen it comes to commandin his defence so i wuld HATE to see him dwn at Spurs.

Question is, if Gomes' injury is long term, who do we go for as a replacement for Carlo? I know chances are slim but there is always the possibility that Carlo could get injured. Based on last seasons few performances I wouldn't be so confident with Alnwick in goal...

Mate there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all, it's being a good goalkeeper more than anything. If the defence had done their job he wouldn't of had to of made the save in the first place. Goalkeepers have to command their defence and if that means moaning at them when they do wrong then so be it. I'd rather a GK said something like that than nothing at all.

James has done his job in savin it and then he should tell his defnece a lil less violently. Look at Reina, he makes some superb saves but he dont go irrate at any1

I dont hate David james he is a really good keeper but he would have to have no1 spot if he joined and that means no gomes, and at the mo im really happy with gomes (even if he does have a brain storm sometimes).

His not gonna sit on the bench like carlo does and i dont beleive he is better than carlo.

So we have to just see this out and F**k david james off!
