Spurs have been linked with legendary striker Dietmar Van Nostlebooy. It was thought that his wages would be a problem & the great man himself saying: "there is no way I'm going to Spurs, they're all cockernees" seemed to suggest a snub.
However, despite all this & recent rumours linking him with a move to Plymouth Argylle, it seems White Hart Lane is his preferred destination.
He is expected to cost Spurs in the region of £50m but the Tottenham board are hoping they can get his current club to pay half as well as cover his £200kpw salary (bl**dy Yids).

It's spelt Van Nostlebooy but pronounced Van Nostrilboy
(incidentally, I found this local news on the same site:Argyle fan abusive to Spurs fans. Must be because we've nicked their player!)
